I don’t recall dealers being able to enter stock orders in September so those 86,000 were retail orders. Then add in the 22 scheduled orders that slipped into 23. No idea about fleet and stock.
call it 90,000 retail and 62,000 scheduled so you’d think there’s on 28,000 to go.
Doesn’t add up...
If the multiple orders limit exists there are plenty of ways around it.
I think OP was ahead of the times and Ford has brought it upon themselves. Not that any of this impacts the bottom line for now.
I was first to order at my dealer. I sat there into the evening on the 15th waited for...
Ordering from multiple dealers is the only logical answer. It sounds shitty, but Ford and the allocation system have created this situation. Frankly I don't think either Ford or the dealers would care.
Owned two hybrids, including an escape to 205,000 miles and never noticed battery degradation.
never did any brake work on one and the escape did get new pads once.
neither had any major issues. Escape had an electronic cooling pump replaced and covered by Ford outside of warranty.
Basically...
I called 4 nearby dealers to figure out who I’d place my order with. Like a good consumer, I was getting a feel for the salesman and understanding their pricing and fees. Some added $1000 documentation fees and some had $1000 deposits. At no point did allocations come up or was that on my...
I was able to get my priority code just by asking for a printout of the order. I said I wanted to review the order. It will show the current priority code.
Where the allocations get screwy is when dealer C, a big city dealer, fulfills their orders and still has allocations. Now they are getting stock orders when dealers A and B still can’t fill customer orders.
I suggest this is going to happen a lot. Perhaps the maverick with its lower price...
I don't know what to think after this past week. Anything can happen.
We have two on order with the same dealer a hybrid and EB. They are both well configured XLTs, but no current constraints.
The Hybrid was ordered on 9/15 and the EB on 9/19
The Hybrid was a Priority 19 and the EB was a...
I don’t run front plates on two of my cars and have never had an issue. Maybe because I’m not too far from WV and cars without front plates are more common.

Was there at 5pm on September 15th and was their first order jammed into the system after repeated tries. Was a priority 19… meanwhile an ECO Boost...
If I have to reorder, I’m ordering at least 6 hybrids… maybe eight. I’ll hit all the local dealers with the wife and place two orders at each. o_O
My father had an old British car that dripped oil around the pan gasket. He was told to not bother with a repair since they all leaked.
50 years later and that car was covered in oil sludge from the engine back and not a bit of rust!
Another interesting data point is that Ted Russell lists 6 used mavericks in stock with 2-4k on the clock. Of course all are 10k over MSRP for new.
I googled one of the VINs and it turns out over a dozen other dealerships list the truck as in stock. Is this common? Sure, some are near by...
I feel bad for my dealer. They are trying to accommodate me, but with the ordering system trailing the announcement they don’t know what to do since the SIBL/61D discount isn’t reflected yet.
I just sent them the memo since those doesn’t get around the dealerships.
I still have the $335...
It’s pretty nerve racking to have my sales guy messing with my order. I’m not sure what I’m going to get! Hopefully it is still a maverick of some sort.
looks like adding the bed liner and cargo management didn’t show the discount either.
I also have D link bed connectors showing up...
If I’m managing the Maverick production, a hitch constraint seems like something I could overcome by leaning on suppliers. I don’t get the concern. It’s not like a have to rework the assembly line to add capacity.
limited hybrid power trains seems like a problem I be struggling with.
