I used LineX in Winchester for my big truck this week and they did a fantastic job. Everything was removed and reinstalled after spraying. Looks factory.
FYI: The various LineX places don't all charge the same so it's worth calling around if there are more than one nearby.
Despite some smart a** comments, I think thread is very relevant. A Mavericks warranty will be over soon enough no matter where you bought and stealership service departments are another source of ripping people off. Finding out which ones are good is important.
I picked a small local dealer because they seemed honest and were upfront about their fees. I knew nothing about allocations and even if I did wouldnāt have believed they impacted customer orders.
I recently asked the salesman how many mavericks they get a month, āNot many, one or maybe twoā...
My thinking is there is one final big scheduling day for the model year and that has to happen on 6th or 13th of July. They will schedule the final 6 weeks of the MY on that day.
LM isnāt typical. Guess around 750 Maverick orders and monthly allocations in the 30-75 range. That isnāt going to get made up like losing one or two allocations.
I can see a problem here given the allocation formula that Ford might be trying to address.
LM is shipping Mavericks out of the region at a far higher rate than typical dealers. They are competing within the region for allocations, in essence taking sales away from dealers in that region...
Ford is definitely not fixing or replacing any engines.
There is no indication of a large number of engines failing.
They will make sure any engine failure is less likely to result in an engine fire. Easiest fix is a software change to shut the engine down quickly or something like that.
On the bright side⦠we bitch about the allocation system and the possibility of stock orders (or fake retail) being built while real retail orders are without allocations. This should ease that situation. I should be one of them as I have an unscheduled XLT EB.
Ford has two big scheduling...
Hope Iām wrong, but I donāt see anything happening that will improve the car market in the long run. EPA mandates are going to make any non EVs a difficult proposition for the manufacturers and what gas vehicles they can produce will go towards higher profit.
Add to that steady price...
Seems like there is a good mod (ZEP) to get a BAP like tail light.
Iām wondering about the blacked out ovals. Iāve seen aftermarket onesā¦.
Iām interested in hearing about headlight prices.
So this looks to be plugging in gaps at the tail end of whatās been scheduled. Does that mean a possibility for more scheduling need to plug the holes and fill the end?
or⦠since the last batch was so large maybe they have enough to plug gaps and get to the end. :censored:
Ford is screwed.
They are prohibited from selling direct and yet face stiff competition from Tesla who only sells direct.
meanwhile their network of dealers continues to harm the experience of purchasing and servicing vehicles. Sure there are some great dealers, but itās pretty rough out here...
Everyone is losing money on EVs (except Tesla) and will for sometime to come. Ford is no exception and that puts even more pressure on upping Maverick prices with the current demand and market adjustments.
