I did the project 6 years ago. Couldn't buy a small truck at that time so I had to make my own.
Yes, Jetta I used is a manual trans TDI. Best mileage has been 47mpg over a tank (600mi). I love it, but it's being sold to make room in the garage for the recently-purchased Maverick.Did you use an actual TDI?
