I got a ticket once.
I got a ticket because I had suitcases in the back that were blocking the rear window in a SUV

I'll take my chances. I drove in California for 40 years with no front plate.(required) Only got a "fix it ticket" once. What really amazes me is the number of people with black out tint on the front side windows. I'd love to do that but then you're just asking for it.
