Pretty easy to do purchase 4 plastic rod holders at Walmart, you can use any ones you find, I cut a 5/4 x 6 In to size 54-1/2 then bored 4 2in holes on 30degree angle, purchased

I like how it’s well secured but looks easy to remove. Look great with those deck mount holders and the carpet. Excellent!!

You may have changed my mind about buying a "PortaRod", this looks great and would be a lot cheaper for the same purpose I need.

Question about mounting the board, do you think there is a way to attach it without having to use the straps?

Im sure you could drill two holes on each side into the bed and install bolts, but my idea was not to make it permanent, with the straps it’s super strong yet in 5 minutes it’s out and stored in the garage. The bed rug is from Ford, you can order it online and they ship it to your dealer of choice, if I’m not mistaken I waited until they had 20% off online and I think I paid about $200

I thought about a few different options for mounting, I think you could probably bolt it in but why would you want to, the option of taking it out in less than 5 minutes and storing away was my goal, the straps make it super strong, if you want it stronger you can use a 2x6 instead of 5/4 x 6 I will include a link to ford.com where I bought bed rug it’s awesome had one in my 08 f-150 for 16 years never regretted it, indestructible and easy on the knees, if you buy it at the right time they offer 20&25% discount often it’s about $240 less the discount and they ship it to any ford dealer for free, purchased online, I think I paid about $200 it installs with included Velcro strips, just a hint lay it in the sun with a couple of weights at each end, it comes rolled up in a box, good luck enjoy here is the link below.

The Bed cover is the Bakflip, pretty easy to install, I do recommend purchasing a separate gasket kit that you can purchase online it keeps the leakage down to mild drip here and there, they are definitely not like the fiberglass caps we had on are old f-150s they were dry as a bone, I like Bakflip because it was the flattest available think it’s $1195 if u mention your a maverick club member u get about $100 off… best of luck
Just an FYI that second pic just behind the rear window on each side is a leak point I found some sealing foam tape that I installed in there that keeps the water out, good luck enjoy
