Made a simple and easy fishing pole holder using a 2x4 and 1x7. A put it at a 45 degree angle using a corner brace that I bent from 90 degrees to 45 degrees. Rod tubes were from Amazon. You can adjust this to fit your needs. For me I wanted to leave my bed cover on and I have long heavy rods. Therefore I had to move it forward enough to clear the cover and the straps keep it from tipping under the weight of the rods. If you don’t have a cover you could get push it all the way back into the actual slot. I am adding a few more Rod tubes to this as well once they arrive.
