Subdued graphics and Mileage

Heaving custom painted motorcycles for nearly 50 years I’ve always liked graphics on my vehicles. In my 70s my wife was less than appreciative of the flames on my SUV so my 2024 Maverick XLT got very subdued graphics. Trimmed down Raptor hockey stick graphics (so they looked proportionally correct) matte black vinyl on my black Maverick are barely visible at times and quite pronounced in bright light. They keep me and my wife happy.

Also, just returned from a 5,000 mile trip out west. Averaging 36mpg with the 2l ecoboost was a very pleasant surprise. Most amazing was the 40+ mpg cruising at 75 mph when at 6-8,000 elevation (see photo)

It sure is a nice vehicle so far.

I've nearly always gotten better mileage at higher elevations than at the elevation where I live.

What you did on the side of the Maverick is something I would like to do.

The side graphics look good! I wasn't sure anything would look ok on the shadow black, those are nice.

The graphics cost about $25 and I applied them myself. I've done it before. If you take your time and watch a few YouTube videos it's pretty easy. The more challenging part was cutting them down to be proportionally correct. Again, a matter of take your time.

Temu.com $25 The quality is excellent. On Temu search "2015-2019 Car Body Sticker for Ford Pickup Raptor F-150 Car Side Sticker" I trimmed them down to look proportionally better.
