My 2023 XL hybrid came with the stock factory Continental 225/65/17. I have 22.5 K and the tires are pretty bald. I was curious and asked my Ford dealer if there was a warranty. He said not through Ford but take it to a tire shop that sells Continental and they could pro-fate the tires.

Has anyone done that and was it worth or a complete waste of time?

It seems that a more a lot of threads relating to the poor tread life of these tires. I’m at 42k with my Continentals and getting close to replacing them. Might be worth contacting Continental. You mileage is exceedingly low to have to replace them

When you do replace them, I recommend looking at Michelins. They run quietly and give a decent ride. They are, or used to be, standard on the Lariat hybrid fwd.

My '24 hybrid has low miles so I can't comment on longevity, but they hold air well and give a decent ride. I do carry loads in the bed at times, 500-1000 lbs and the Michelins perform well. My driving is paved urban roads and I don't go above 70 mph on the highway.

It would be a complete waste of time. Treadwear/mileage warranties typically do not apply to tires fitted as Original Equipment on new vehicles.

Have you rotated them? I changed mine early for better tires but based on the amount of wear vs mileage they should have lasted until around 50k miles. I also rotate mine at every oil change which is at about 5k intervals.

My 2022 XLT (Eco boost), has 23,500M and had Conti's rotated every other oil change. Stopped at dealer the other day and had depth checked. Said tread is marginal and "may" pass PA inspection!
Asked about pro rated stuff and said only good if
I bought the same tires?
Now researching on the forum for replacements.

I have rotated them.

I checked the warranty and from Continental it is 55K on the ProContactTX. Their formula is subtract your mileage from the warrantied mileage. In my case it's 55K -22.5K = 32500. Take that and 32550 / 55000 = .60% (59.5%) of the warranty left. So they will give me about 60% of the same or comparable tire. I would have to pay shipping on those tire, I am not sure what the deal is if the local shop already has them. I am not sure if the 60% is based on full retail or not. I would also get stuck with the installation cost. Ending up with the same tires all over again, is not very appealing.

I'm just wearing out the Conti's on the Mav for now and will replace with something else when the time comes. At 24K miles the time is near.
The biggest issue I had with the Conti's is they have terrible grip during heavy rains. The truck would hydroplane like nothing. With that said the AWD system does a good job of reacting and keeping the truck from sliding all over the place.

Only advice I can give is if you have A/S tires don't replace them with A/T if you care about gas mileage. On average I am 1 - 2 MPG lower with A/T tires than the stock Conti's. With that said they have much better grip but are probably overkill if driving only on paved roads and little to no inclement weather conditions like heavy rains and snow.

What is the remaining tread depth in 32nd of inch?
8/32 is measurement on this tire when new.

The treadwear indicators are almost showing. I figured out the proration and the amount worked out to about 60% and I would have to pay shipping. After all that, I would have a set of new tires on my truck I really don't care for. The juice was not worth the squeeze.

I am getting a set of Goodyear Reliants. Seems to be a good tire at a good price.
