So for what it’s worth I decided to be the lab rat for us here. I ordered a circuit werks down pipe last week. I plan on giving it a go not this coming Monday but the next. I’ll keep yall updated with pics of the unit when I have it and how the install goes. I’ll be the one putting it on so If it sucks I’ll let you know. I saw where some focus guys run them but never a review of anything. I’m hoping for no CEL as well. Worse case, I just get a CVF/SW and installed that down the road.

Thanks buddy, I do appreciate all the insight and help. I actually read some stuff from your install I believe before I ordered it. Good stuff to know. As for now it will be mated to the stock exhaust. Thinking about going Thermal in the future, however. You are right about the adapter though, I’ll figure it out when it comes to it. I figured everyone is curious about CW so I’d take the shot. I think CVF is a great brand and they make a great product.

Others need to note with Circuit Werk looks like there is a 25% restock fee if you return it, so $100. Read the fine print. I obviously haven’t used their return system and I read this before ordering. I just don’t want anyone to get screwed over. I’m showing delivery the 21st so pics around that time.

Out of morbid curiosity, would you mind uploading an open header clip before hooking it up to the rest of your exhaust?

Here is some quick and dirty shots. I literally just got in from work. I’ll get better pics when I can. Lighting is not the best as the moment but you can at least look at what you get, how it’s shipped and some welds.

Would love to see a before and after dyno with tuning on a downpipe. Seems we can’t be sure what gains can be made with a downpipe. Other than sound. Would be very curious to know

I don’t even have a 1/4 mile calculator or I would get you a before/after pull. Only thing else I have is SB, and I’m not tuned. Yet

I started the installed today just kinda here and there. Man it’s a tight one. Everything is tight in there. So far I have the air box out, battery tray out, exhaust removed, upstream o2 disconnected, PTU heat shield has the 3 bolts out but seems like it’s either still held down somewhere I can’t see or it’s hung up on the driver side at some place. On the flange one bolt you can see, one on the bottom you can feel and the other, I’m not sure if I’ve seen it yet. Gonna have to stick my head at an angle in the engine bay and look for it. You are definitely blind all the way through. Technically just three bolts and I’m done though right ;)

It's just 3 bolts man...what's the hold-up?????

I'm both looking foward to and dreading this same install...I got one of the Fast Maverick DP's before he went AWOL.

My last DP install was on my 2015 M4 and while not bad, it definitely wasn't fun. With this one, I'm trying to decide if I want to install the intake, DP and exhaust all at once or little by little. By the sounds of your install, it would make sense to do it all at once since you've already removed those components to get where you are now.

Good luck, we're pulling for you!!

That’s exactly what I was telling my girlfriend while she was working with me. It’s just 3 flange bolts it sounds like it would be simple doesn’t it, haha. If you have big arms or hands you are gonna have a bad time in there. Yeah if someone were to do a DP install I would personally recommend to do the exhaust and intake too. You are already right there and have them off. These newer style exhaust hangers rock though. You can pull the whole system out in less than 5 mins. Extremely easy. I can’t wait to get it all installed and back together soon.

Haven’t forgot about anyone, just haven’t had time off to commit to it. Hoping this week or next though! Fingers crossed!
