This is the F-150 part. They are going for cheap right now, so get it while you can. I’ll be doing this mod and I am in an email conversation with DD on how to properly incorporate it.

Were is the fog light function on this switch? How do you operate it to turn on the fog lights?

I suspect the deletion of fog lamps is a cost save to Ford, which is at a $7-billion manufacturing cost disadvantage to competitors, per the company. Additionally, Ford will see a 27% labor cost increase as a result of the new labor contract. When you look at the content load on competitive makers' vehicles vs. Ford, Ford is consistently lower. My sense is they have chosen to decontent their offerings rather than raise prices in an effort to remain price competitive.

Certainly a major component of the move. Plus, I bet the vast majority of drivers don't actually (properly) use them, and either leave them switched on all the time or fail to use them when they'd actually be beneficial. Heck, I live in an area that is frequently foggy, and there are far too many drivers who can't even remember to turn their headlamps on.

Ford does tout that LED lights minimize the need for fogs, and they're not wrong. Granted, my test case sample size is extremely small, but my wife's Bronco Sport's headlamps are so good in inclement weather that I sometimes fail to switch the fogs on when they'd actually be helpful.

About to order, but quick question - Hitch Mount.

Does the red running light get brighter with the brake lights or is stay just a red dim running light?
It's not clear (unlike the lights themselves)...I'm guessing it's a run/reverse setup only.

I concur. Masterly summation!

We have an entire forum thread regarding our C1 HitchMount LED Pod Reverse Light Kit.

This kit includes a red running light and a high-power white reverse light.

The Maverick isn't designed to handle the power of our C1R offering.

Our engineering team owns a Maverick personally and tested several models for months.

Can we get a front bumper side marker running light that matches the style of the fog light?

Clear reflective lens, black housing, amber bulb. If you could make it dissipate light how the fog light is doing that would be awesome as well.

But i cant find anyone making these already, only option is to tint...

Edit: ya black housing not black bezel*

I have LED lamps for the side markers but I cannot get the driver's side housing out to change it. The passenger side was easy but the other, not at all. The YouTube video where the tech just pops it out from the front was staged, IMO. No way did it come out so easily.

From underneath the truck, remove the splash shield like you are going to change oil. If you look over toward the side marker it's a pretty straight shot you will be able to see it but not reach it. Use about a 2-foot pry bar and reach over to it. You are not prying it out! You just want to push the little clip at the front of the light back a little while putting some outward pressure on the light. Might take a couple tries but it will pop right out. You can do the passenger side the same way.

I much prefer this to prying against the paint or trying to go in through the wheel well.
