DTC POA37

Was looking around with Forscan yesterday and checked DTC has it showed the yellow triangle. Had two of these POA37, May 18 and May 28. Never got a check engine light, never got a notification in the app. I checked app and there are two Service Engine Soon Warning. Says "The Engine has detected a fault" and goes on to tell you what a check engine light looks like and light may blink, yada yada yada. So much for the app working as it is supposed to. Maybe my check engine light not working (or is it) is related to the dash illumination issues? It does light up like it is supposed to when you start vehicle. Guess I will call Ford tomorrow and let them look at it. Anyone else get this code? The code on Forscan shows it as a Generator Temperature Sensor Circuit Range/Performance. Thanks in advance. Will be out with my bride of over 50 years tonight so may not respond till morning.

As the name applies the Starter/Generator temp sensor is reporting too far out of range (15C) compared to other temp sensors in the transmission. Initial possible causes listed are an aftermarket block heater, low transmission fluid, wiring fault, or just spurious network overload. Otherwise if the sensor tests faulty then the transmission requires replacement.

Interesting. I looked it up and only had some of the information; not as detailed as yours. Thanks for the help. Will use warranty and let Ford take a look at it.

Talked with my dealer and he can get me in July 15th. Will let you know what I find. I have been driving (without knowing I had the fault) for a month plus now. No lights, no issues. Will most likely putz around in it until then and keep a look out. May pull codes again in a few days as the most recent code was May 28th! No KA-BOOM yet!
