On the Ford site, I went through the build process and entered all the choices (engine, drive type, packages, etc. in a spreadsheet). (The text on the Ford site has been published so it cannot be copied, thus I had to enter a lot of text by hand.)

I then ran "Build & Price", "Build your own", "XLT", selected the "4K Tow" package (and made a few other choices). "4K Tow" in part includes:

Package Features Include:
225/65R17 A/S BSW Tires (XL/XLT Only)
Trailer Brake Controller
Trailer Hitch Receiver with 7-Pin ConnectorTransmission Oil Cooler
Higher Capacity Radiator
Upgraded Cooling Fan
Upgraded Drive Ratio (AWD)

The inventory search for the chosen area listed 3 Matches. In the truck details, aside from, say, the default: "Package Equipment Group (300A)", I'm not seeing mention of optional packages, and I don't see, for example, "Trailer Brake Controller", which is part of the "4K Tow" package. Vehicles are listed with: MPG, engine, drivetrain, transmission, exterior, interior, and package (like XLT (300A)). Items are grouped by Exterior Features, Functional, Safety & Convenience, Warranty.

Similarly, when I look at some Ford dealership sites and look at the sticker information, packages like "4K Tow" don't seem to be listed; only individual items.

The functionality of the build & price process is useful, but when I use that to find inventory, things don't match up for specific optional packages, as I mentioned, which is frustrating. Any thoughts?

Look at the Window Stickers if a link is provided on the dealers' site, that will tell you if it's 4K equipped or not.

BTW, the search inventory on Ford's site has been problematic as of late. Selecting a powertrain option tends to result in 0 results, but looking at individual results can tend to find you what you want. PITA, yes.

It was a nightmare trying to find when I was looking. One way that helps a little is the 4K package require AWD, so if you toggle that and Eco engine, it will reduce down the search a little.
Then click on window sticker.

Slightly related, when starting a build, I can only choose one paint color, and that remains the case after looking at Summary after a build, and editing the color. However when I search inventory, I'm then able to add additional colors. Choosing multiple colors should be possible during the build. The process is a waste of time as it is.

It used to work that way, but nowadays it won't let me drill down like that,,,,,

You have to select it on Build page, then when you go to search it carries them over.
That's how I found mine in April. The filters on the search page are useless.
