I actually stumbled onto this forum whilst fishing the 'net for help on disabling the "belt minder" on my shiny new Mav. I always wear a seat belt while in the general population, but I've disabled it in every Ford I've had since the inception of the "belt minder" so I don't have to listen to it while I'm out feedin' deer, cuttin' limbs, loadin' harvested deer, etc. while "on property".

I ended up needing a new ride when Farmers totaled my 2010 Escape. I need a rear seat so my Boxer copilot has ample room to roll with me. I believe I've figured out all the "bells and whistles". That said... I've still not been able to disable that DAMN "belt minder"!!

Anywhoo... consider this my introduction to the forum. I'll be back when I can. Happy Scout Night, y'all.

C ya!

Hello and welcome to MTC. Congratulations on your Maverick. I think it should work out much better that the escape, especially with what you've described. That bed works a whole lot better not only loading deer, corn, firewood but handles more hunting equipment without losing passenger seating. It's got to be a whole lot easier cleaning up afterwards, just use a garden hose and spray dirt, blood, hair, bark, corn dust out of the bed. Best of luck with your truck. Only question, is why didn't you attach a picture of your Maverick? Still sorry to hear of your loss of the escape hope no one got hurt

I like that "Farmers totaled it"

Like "Dad, the dog got out". Not "Dad, I let the dog out".
