When my father and mother passed, 1986 and 1999, I ended up with all the old family photo albums and many loose pictures with a handful of pictures even from late 1800's. Maybe 40 albums (many large ones) total number of pictures was around 4,000. In 2015 I took them all into a photo shop where they still process film. They also will "digitize" your old stuff into the format you want (I choose .jpg). The store it on a usb thumb drive. I think total cost was about $650. Best money I ever spent. I made copies of the usb drive (they allow that) and sent those drives to all my brothers and sisters. Brings back tons of great memories! Here is my 1980 Toyota. pictures from 1980 or 1981. Wife and her sister taking a break.Too bad all the mini trucks were before cell phone cameras, other wise we would see lots of pictures. I can’t find any pictures of mine.
I had an 81 Datsun King Cab 4x4 5 speed. And I do remember the 8 spark plugs in the 4 cyl. I had AC and IIRC power steering. My first was a used 1981 Datsun King Cab 5 speed without power steering but with A/C and a work shell. The NAPZ engine had two spark plugs per cylinder.
In 1982, the name Nissan replaced Datsun. Sadly, I don't have pics but the memory lives on.
I ended up with all of the old photo albums as well, but my parents didn’t really take pictures after a while. The cell phone camera comment was because these days I have 600 pictures of just about everything, but back then I only took pictures of things Inwanted pictures of, and for some reason my trucks weren’t one of those. When my father and mother passed, 1986 and 1999, I ended up with all the old family photo albums and many loose pictures with a handful of pictures even from late 1800's. Mine was a 1985 Ford Ranger with a long bed 5 speed manual transmission. LOVED THAT TRUCK! a friend had an 84 and the only difference was mine had a black box or a "computer"I loved having my 1974 Datsun pickup back in high school. I have so many fun memories of fixing it up with my friends. Post your pics if you have any of your mini truck!
