I live in FL where the land is mostly flat. I have a HYBRID on order now. I drive locally, but many of my trips are to Tampa and back, about 60 mile round trip. I also drive into the hills of GA, NC, SC, and Va. I will be towing a 1,500 lb. trailer at times. Around FL, the HYBRID should do the job, but towing a trailer of that weigh through the hills on some steep roads at times, I'm starting to rethink switching to the turbo 4. The hybrids 42 mpg around town sure beats the turbo at 22, but at highway speeds, the hybrids 33 mpg is not to far off the turbo's 30 mpg. Of course when towing their mileage will go down, but I feel pulling the 1,500 lbs would affect the mileage on the hybrid more than the turbo. Any thoughts? Should I switch to the turbo?

How often will you tow? Also you will need to add electric brakes

I would say if you're going to tow more than 1/3 of the time, go with the ecoboost. If less frequent the hybrid will be the better choice for you. So in other words, if you drive 18 - 20k per year, and 6k miles or more of that is towing, I'd go ecoboost.

I have towed a lot of years and have used trailer brakes where needed. To costly to upgrade to the package with the Mavericks trailer break. The trailer been used has no brakes. Guess I'll wait to after my first tow to see how it handles. Thinking about 50/50 on the Hybrid or Turbo. Leaning turbo.

Don't upgrade. I am adding my TBC aftermarket.
