FORD POSTS ALL-TIME MONTHLY HYBRID SALES RECORD

MAY 2, 2024 | DEARBORN

Customer reception to Ford hybrid vehicles continues to accelerate, with U.S. sales reaching 17,997 in April, a 60 percent improvement from the same month a year ago and a new monthly record.

Sales of the new F-150 PowerBoost Hybrid set a new monthly record in April – up 93.6% – making F-150 Hybrid America’s top-selling full-size hybrid pickup. Early customers of the new 2024 model are overwhelmingly choosing to upgrade to the available 7.2kW Pro Power Onboard feature, which brings power to a jobsite, tailgate party, or power appliances during a power outage.

So far this year, Maverick Hybrid is the best-selling hybrid pickup overall; customers bought 26,061 Maverick Hybrid trucks over the first four months of 2024. Most of those customers – 59% – are coming from other brands and segments, notably trading in their small SUVs for a Maverick.

Doesn't surprise me. My hybrid does everything I need it to do (good gas mileage, pulls my 4 X 8 utility trailer full of mulch and carries my 17 foot kayak). I know there are people complaining about the recall notices, it's still not a deal breaker for me...I still like my little truck.

Not all the recalls have involved my VIN#. The worst recall is the latest one regarding no tailights. Yikes! Outside of that and the dreaded "sleep" concerns...........I love this truck!!

This may surprise Ford but if they build and put more out there they will continue to break records. Duh….

Well, I guess the price increase for the Hybrid didn't hurt sales at all, despite predictions on MTC.

The Maverick Hybrid was under-priced the first couple of years - probably in part to boost attention to it. It's still a bargain compared to other vehicles available right now.

We took a chance ordering a Mav hybrid before they started manufacturing them, and it was absolutely the right choice. Currently we have 17K+ miles on our 2022 and been pleased with the ride (the seats are more comfortable than our F-150, even on long trips), the ease of parking compared to the F-150, and of course, the gas mileage which exceeds the federal guidance since I have a light foot. Great truck and the perfect compliment to our heavier duty F-150. Ford rocks!

I guess the truck gods were smiling on me when I ordered my hybrid at dawn's early light on opening day of the order bank, late summer 2022.

I purchased a 22 EB off the lot, $1800 markup over MSRP in 10/2022 as a place holder. I got my twice-rolled over hybrid order as a 2024 hybrid in November 2024. Sold the 22 EB privately for a small profit w/9k miles. I was getting 30-32mpg highway.

With gas in SoCal over $5+++/gallon, I love getting 43-45mpg average per tank. At 3k miles, admittedly almost new, zero issues. I use it for work and play and so far, I am very pleased.

imagine how many they would sell if the bed was just a little longer!
5 foot would be perfect for the Mav. I'm sure it will happen eventually along with a AWD hybrid.
