With the Bronco the Reservation site crashed, now with the Maverick the Ford website crashes, it this failed planning for server load capacity or is this planned failure for marketing to say how popular it is?

I’m just shocked they don’t buy extra server space like when new video games come out, companies buy extra server space for the first few weeks.

I'm starting to think it's an intentional marketing effort.
I think so too. And to help preventing market flooding. Keep the reservations coming in a steady pace vs flood. Help the system process so that way it doesn’t accidentally give 2 people the same reservation #.

but your right it’s a marketing bonus. “Omg you guys are awesome so many orders it crashed the site”

I was just thinking. Major server outage today, Twitter, eBay, google all lost servers for a bit today. I bet that had a role

Does anyone know what other models aside from the Escape Hybrid have the 2.5l Hybrid engine? Trying to do a deep dive into the engine/ecvt models to get a better sense of it.

Escape is the only one currently to have that exact system.
The 2.5 motor by it self is very old. (Mazda L 2.5) 2008+ Very reliable. Wards named it “top 10 motors for 2010”

the 2013-2020Fusion Hybrid had a similar system (2.5L hybrid ECVT) but the escape is updated.

2013-2020 issues https://m.carcomplaints.com/Ford/Fusion_Hybrid/
Only thing I can find there is battery issues in early models (escape has new battery system) and the touch screen died. (Old system)
Other than that few odds and end complaints.

No current issues I can find with the current 2020+ Escape Hybrid
