Ordered my '23 XL Hybrid + CoPilot 360 in September '22 the day the banks opened. Got depriortized by the dealer (because XL), rolled over in July the day banks opened to '24, got scheduled for February in November, and the truck arrived at the deler on 3/14/24. Been a ride!

Believe I have everything calculated appropriatley considering the private offer and price protection. Anything I'm missing or wrong about?

Sticker MSRP = $27,560
Price Protection Dec '23 increase = -$415
Price Protection D&D increase = -100
Total MSRP = $27,045
+ Sales Tax @ 7.75% on 27045 = $2095.99
+ Govt Registration Fees = 443
- $2,500 Private Special Offer
Total OTD = $27,083.99

Thanks for the help in advance!

The '24 Rollover already had the D&D price increase so for a '23 Rollover to a '24 Rollover with this build it's:

Sticker MSRP = $27,560
Price Protection Dec '23 increase = -$415
Total MSRP = $27,145
+ Sales Tax @ 7.75% on 27145 = $2103.74
+ Govt Registration Fees = 443
- $2,500 Private Special Offer
Total OTD = $27,191.94

Hi,

Just went through this at the dealership and with ford customer service.

We have a nearly identical spec MY’24 XL hybrid with copilot 360 plus hitch $100. Ordered MY’23 in Sept ‘22, carried over to MY’24 that came in this week.

Base your tax and fees on $27,560 and you got it.

They take the full NEW MY’24 window sticker and after calculating fees and taxes and reg they deduct the $2,500. ( ca tax treats the transition offer as down payment after tax).

So you are left paying +100 for DD and the $415 mid year increase.

Thankful the $2500 covers hybrid option cost and a $1000 of the base price change.

So we ended up paying ~$700 more than the MY’23. Not sure where the off $200 of price increase is,

Hope that helps.

PS:

Here is the upsetting part, we have a private offer from ford for $1250 based on having a previous ford from the selling dealer.

“Ford ICI In-Market Owner Direct offer”

It was in all communication with dealer along the way and the dealer says private offers are not combinable with the transition offer!

Our private offer certificate was in Vincent, but the value showed $0.

Other offers like farm, active service or fire were combinable but did not apply in our case.

I am steamed, I am paying ~$2k more for a vehicle we waited 555 days for.

Dealer says it is ford marketing, ford marketing says talk to ford owner loyalty, ford owner loyalty says talk dealer or to ford marketing and so the merry go round goes. Did the hole dance again with sales manger at dealer and supervisors in each ford dept.

This reals of bait and switch as our private offer clearly states good for order OR dealer stock!

This is totally counter to how the Ford Guy video says it should have worked( you pay the price on the signed order form!

Anyone else had this issue with pricing or private offers combining.

Yes, you should've been price protected on the $415 December increase if your '24 rollover order was placed before it happened (mid-Dec). My dealer tried to argue me on this and I shut them down fast. This is what I ended up paying:

Sticker MSRP = $27,560
Price Protection Dec '23 increase = -$415
Total MSRP = $27,145
+ Doc Fee $85 (gets included in sales tax)
+ Sales Tax @ 7.75% on 27230 = $2110.33
+ Electronic Vehicle Registration = $33 (dealer scam I was out of energy to argue)
+ Govt Registration Fees = $472.75
- $2,500 Private Special Offer
Total OTD = $27,346.08

The XL price increase should have been price protected.
Thanks for this.

I did not hit the “Price Protection” point firm enough. I completed the deal, but it left a bad feeling with me towards the dealer.

In future I will ask at time of order if the dealer will honor price protection should it come
to these crazy wait times again.
