Mine is 36,860 MSRP for the FE. But im out the door for around 32 with D plan.
I am hoping that Ames Ford (Iowa) does not hold me hostage (I will be flying in from FL) by hitting me with fees - current price: $35,000 for the (fully loaded) Rapid Red First Edition, AWD 2.0 w 4k Tow, Full spare and bed lighting.

Did you get them to give you a price contract that locks in the price? It isnt a commit to buy but its good to have so you can have some written prices.

I have a signed (me only) Preview Order indicating 3% off Invoice... and that gets me to the cost I have quoted in my prior comment. I know I am still "subject to change." But I will walk out and fly home dejected if they play shenanigans...

The OTD number of $32k from a $36,860 MSRP in TN really does not seem to add up.

Tennessee has a 7% sales tax on vehicle purchases

So that $32K becomes $29,906.54 before sales tax.

Invoice price is very close to MSRP price. On my MSRP $24,620 Maverick I have an invoice price of $24,122 or savings of $498 off MSRP. So going with a 50% increase in MSRP would get to around $750 savings. Lets just pad it to $1000 savings.

That puts the D-Plan savings at $5,953.46. Since the D-Plan adds the $375 that would mean (Holdback + Advertising) is $6,328.46 o_O

My Maverick is purchased on the A-Plan which is $100 better than the D-Plan and I only got it at the invoice price.

Do you have a trade-in that helps reduce the OTD price?
He's just exaggerating to make himself feel better. After taxes and all (you know, true OUT-THE-DOOR price) he will have spent or borrowed at least ~$36k. Assuming he's not evading taxes.

Some people on the internet just need to make it look like they got the worlds best deal. The D plan savings are not that significant. 3 or even 4% under invoice is actually a better deal. I've already discussed these Ford plan pricing options with Chappy and Granger, don't let the keyboard warrior fool you.

You shouldnt try to act smart, it doesnt work well for you. If I buy a Ranger for 28k and I have an offer for 34k. And Ive paid two years of payments. What do you think the out the door price is? Maybe try taking a math class.
So you have some equity in your ranger cool.. you're still paying ~36k OUT THE DOOR for your Maverick. Whether you pay cash, credit, pay with the bank's money, trade in a Ferrari, doesn't' matter. You're OUT THE DOOR price is skewed because of your trade-in.. I guess if that's what you have to tell yourself and folks here on this forum in order to make you feel good, so be it. That's a pretty dumb way to think about vehicles and money though IMO.

@MavrickEcoBoost I see you deleted this post, probably smart, I wouldn't want to admit that I barely made any progress on a 28k loan in two years either.

If you got a Ranger for 28k and made payments for two years, I'd hope you'd have much more than a few grand in equity. You should only owe about $14k on it at this point, and if you're being offered 34k, you should be getting your Maverick for wayyyy less than 32k, should be like half of that. But yeah, I need to learn math.

Sounds like you need to learn math, better study up on interest rates and financing while you're at it. If you in fact got that Ranger for 28k two years ago, you should have way more equity in it. I guess probably not though if you financed for 84 months at 5% interest. But good for you.

The team at Ames ford Lincoln are great, and especially chris. He goes above and beyond what a salesman is supposed to do.

Looks like you should be good, I mean dont get any service there it looks like the service department is not good. But everyone seems happy with sales.

He's in Florida, you really think he's gonna road-trip to Iowa every time he needs service?

Add geography to your course load.

I'd rather pay $37k for a fully loaded Maverick that suits my needs than twice that for a similarly spec'd F-150 that is way too much truck.

Don't really know what's sketchy about that. Not all of us are buying XL's, sir.
Exactly! In the past I've settled for cars the dealer had on the lot. Sometimes by choice, most times not. This is really the first vehicle where I can get it (pretty much) how I want it. I would have gone with the XLT, but there were some creature comforts and tech that I really wanted, and chose to get, instead of settling again...

Yikes, this one sure got derailed.

Doesn't look like anything out of the ordinary on that sticker though. Very well equipped Maverick if you ask me.
