Footwell/ambient lighting that turns on with door open or switch?

Is it possible on an XL to install footwell/ambient lighting that either turns on when the door opens or when you flip the switch to turn on the front and back lights? I assume there is a wire that can be tapped that powers the map lights to do this. Has anyone done it before?

i tapped the rear cargo light at the top of the cab. A long way to run wires but I did it. Ambient lights come on when I open the truck door or turns on with the cargo bed switch on the dash. I put nice blue LED's in rear seat area and front, just underneath each side of dash. Makes it easy to see floor area when getting in and out.

I purchased a couple of little USB type lights off of Amazon. They plug into the 12V cigarette lighter (or an adapter for one). I put one in the front, and one in the rear, both pointing down. With Forscan, I chaned the power off default to these cigarette lighter outlets to 15 seconds. So now when I open the door, these 2 little lights come on. After I turn off the key, 15 seconds later, they cut off...
