Hi everyone
Finally after one year, my order Maverick XLT Hybrid get to production. I need your opinion to choose wich tonneau cover.
Syneticusa Retractable hard tonneau cover with Rode Rack Ready.
Or
Maverick hard folding in rail tonneau cover and
Truxedo elevate TS rails. Also I want to know this two, hard cover and TS rails will work together and get match?
By the way I need more space in bed for my tools and for near future I want add T bars.

I have the soft folding cover the only thing I don’t like is that I can’t fold it up completely to the cab only the first two folds. To get access to the entire bed I will need to remove the cover.

I could not be happier with my Truxedo roll up. My 2004 Chevy also has one and it has been on the truck for 10 years and has held up great through many WI winters and heavy usage. The F150 has an Access roll up cover and it has also been great as well over 5 years.

Retractable! Which one and why: I chose the SyneticUSA retractable from Truck2Go. The price was $839 got 5% off, $150 shipping and $65 to have it installed for a total of $1,007.00! Much less than anywhere else. Why? I don’t like paying for the same thing over and over. Every cover that uses some type of vinyl/felt is going to wear out and need replacement at some point. Nearly all retractable covers are powder coated aluminum that aerospace quality and tough. Once installed, I fully expect the cover to last the life of the truck. Thus it is a one time buy. Not to mention it just looks fantastic!

As for bed space, the retractable does take up some space but there is room under the canister for small things. The SyneticUSA cover is imho the best out there. It’s tough, flexible and practical. It can be locked open as you need it and is water resistant when fully closed. Some water gets in at the car wash but it’s minimal. I really like it and glad I chose it.

For me hard tri fold would be the only choice. Specially in my neighborhood. LOL

This is the one I bought. Good price, decent quality (not crazy about the hold down latches...) and overall thus far I'm happy with it.

I've been researching covers. My last vehicle had a hard trifold cover. It was rare that I hauled anything that needed the cover completely taken off the bed.

Have you had to remove the retractable cover for anything? Removing a hard trifold wasn't the biggest pain in the butt. I'm heavily leaning towards the SyneticUSA cover.

Have you hauled any 4x8 sheets of plywood extending under the canister? I calculate that 5-6 sheets of Ā¾ā€ plywood should fit under the canister and extend to the fron of the bed.

No, I haven’t but your estimates seem reasonable. Though the canister takes up some space, as you’ve noted there is still room under it that is useable.

I recently got my new XLT Eco AWD and I decided on Ultra Flex by Undercover. My next choice would have been BakFlip.

No and I don’t ever intend on removing it. One, I have no reason to but more to the point, I can’t physically do it. It would just not be practical. Once installed, it staysšŸ˜Ž. If I need to haul anything, it will have to be in the confines of the retractable in place. If not, then I’ld have to rent a bigger truck!
I don’t think you’ll find a more affordable cover than the SyneticUSA product. I really like mine.
