I ordered my 2024 Maverick XLT Ecoboost w/XLT Luxury package on 09/27/2023. I brought it home on Tuesday, 02/13/2024, which happened to be my birthday. I only have a little less than 200 miles on it, but I am loving it! It is going to be difficult to let go of my 2010 Flex SEL in the next couple of weeks, but I simply do not try enough to keep two vehicles. I wish someone would have guaranteed that it would last the rest of my life and I would have just kept it instead of ordering the Maverick. Now that I have the Maverick, however, I think it is going to be easier to let go of the Flex…
I have added a few interior goodies, i.e., floor mats and such. I think i will be adding the tailgate letters, mud flaps, and tonneau cover this afternoon. I am still waiting for a replacement set of Mabett fender flairs, as the set i ordered in December arrived with a broken tab on the right front flair.
I shouldn’t get bored with the Cactus Gray, as it certainly changes the color of the tint depending on what light source is hitting it and at what time of day!
(My cat approves so far, although i do wish he would stay off the truck until ground dries some from all the snow and rain we have had the last couple of weeks. Oh, well, one of the few trials of having a cat for a pet. At this point in life, I am not going to get in a wad over it!)

Sweet Man! I stocked up on all my accessories while I'm waiting too.
Be interested to hear how you like the stereo in the XLT, I'm kinda of a sound snob.
I've heard people in the upper midwest like us are running stock all seasons just fine in
the winter, I'll probably order a set of snow tires anyways.

Happy birthday! Cute cat and my favorite color Maverick.

The only thing I would do is remove that advertising off the tailgate. It would also make the vinyl letters look better, if you choose to add those.

Sadly, I don’t listen to music much anymore, so the stereo was the least of my concerns, and that also means I am probably not a real good judge. It sounds fine to me, but I will generally be listening to audiobooks from my iPhone, or nothing at all.
As a side note, my 88-year-old mother says she can hear me with no problem with my phone connected to the infotainment system, and I hear her clearly, so I am satisfied with it as is.

Thanks! I am loving the color, on the truck and the cat!!! He’s a good cat, so I can’t get mad at him. He’s just being curious!

Yeah, I have lettering which I will probably put on the tailgate today. I expect I will take that dealer sticker off. Except for the photo with the cat, these photos were all made about an hour after I drove off the lot, so everything is the way I took delivery. (I had to stop by my 88-year-old mama’s house so she could test how easy or hard it will be for her to get in and out of the truck…piece of cake!!).
While we are on that topic, any suggestions on how to go about getting that sticker off without my scratching the paint to get hold of an edge to start removal?

Cactus grey is the new color!

Great choice in color! My mom loves this one. It's one of her favorites other than Eruption Green. I almost considered Cactus Grey on my first Maverick build. In fact, I was very close to getting your exact spec, '22 XLT w/ Luxury Package in Cactus Grey. But I figured for a few thousand dollars more (at least at the time) I might as well get the fully-loaded Lariat. And I chose Area 51 since that was the Maverick's debut color. I do have another one on the way that should arrive within the next week or so but I opted for Hot Pepper Red this time because I've always been a fan of metallic colors. To me, it's worth the extra $495 for the paint color! Anyways, congrats on your new Maverick! You won't regret it in the slightest! (y)

You could go back to your salesperson and ask them to remove it for you. Otherwise, you might use a hair dryer to warm up the sticker for easier removal.

I probably would have gotten a few more goodies if my financial situation was different. This is replacing my 2010 Ford Flex. Since I bought that car, I have retired (in 2013) and then managed to pay off the Flex and my house a few years later, but since I haven’t had a car note in nine years, this is going to make me tighten my budget.
I first thought I would get a black Maverick, since my first choice of Alto Blue is no longer available, but I decided to switch it up this time and go with a light color instead of the black. I might have gotten Area 51 if it was still available.
