Today I plugged my phone in before starting my Maverick, and while it was connecting to AA the radio started playing, and kept playing after AA was loaded showing me Maps and YTMusic. I had to unplug the phone and change the source in Sync to get it to stop.
Has anyone else experienced this?

This is fairly "normal" meaning it happens a lot. The software implementation between the radio to the phone is very buggy. I reset the radio (hold power and > button) at least once a week.

Does resetting the radio like that lose your phone pairing(s)?

No, no settings lost. It is just a soft reboot of the infotainment system without needing to turn off the vehicle as far as I can tell. I had to do it this morning while driving down the road.

This ☝
It's similar to restarting a phone or computer.

You don't have to unplug the phone to switch Source.
Either push the Ford logo in Android Auto(may be Sync3 only,) or press the Speaker button to get to the main screen, then press Audio/source.
