Hey everyone, I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to store a heavy duty jack(not a bottle jack) in the maverick where its easily accessible. videos and pictures are very welcomed if you have this already accomplished.

You are taking about a floor jack? Is this something you want to have all the time? Do you need to regularly use the bed for other things and if so, what uses?

yes i have a 3 ton floor jack, i don't like to use the jack that comes with vehicles since i work oncall and travel quite a bit i need to change a tire fast if i get a flat. the hack is about 2ft by 1ft by 6 inches tall without the handle.
i will be using the truck mostly for lumber in the bed. i wonder if it will fit in the under seat storage? or is the jack too small?

I’m not sure what a cleaver has to do with storing a floor jack
Now if you had written clever I might have understood better
But the bed is going to be your only option outside of it sitting in the back seat
Neither of which is clever

I cannot imagine fitting a floor jack under the rear seats. There are basically a few cubbies under there but not a large continuous space.

Also, your floor jack must be a lot lighter than mine! I would not want to lift that thing up and down or ever have to carefully set it down in the truck. I think mine is around 100lb.

well maybe someone has something built in the bed where its easy to access and doesn't slide around, or maybe it fits in the under seat storage. anything that makes it easy to access and easy to store when you still want to use the storage for other things in my mind is considered "clever". you obviously knew exactly what I meant with that spelling mistake, if you didn't then I feel bad for you. if your not going to be helpful in this forum which is what it was intended for then maybe don't say anything. its a lot easier to be nice to people than to be an ass. I'm glad you feel smart now that you googled the proper way to spell it and had to make sure everyone seen that here. what a champ

Nothing like having a nice big heavy piece of metal flying around the inside your car during an accident.
that is why i want a good way to store it, so it cant fly around and its easy to access

I think best case would be a case like someone else posted and put it on the floor of the rear or build something fairly basic out of 2 by to keep it from rolling around in the bed. Will you have a cover on your bed to protect it from the elements?

yes thats what i was thinking, i will have a hard roll up cover. i was just hoping someone had already did something but most people just use the standard jack that comes with it.

My concerns would be keeping it from becoming a projectile during a crash so I'd be thinking about keeping it from moving in all three directions (side to side, front to back, up and down).
