Bought a pre-owned 2022 First Edition Carbonized Gray Hybrid in Denver and drove it back to Los Angeles. My thanks to the members on this forum that have provided immeasurable insight and advice to this lurker. I'm an official member now and look forward to learning more and hopefully contributing some to current and future members. This is a full circle event for me. The first car I ever drove was a 1975 pea soup green Maverick.

Right on. As someone (much wiser than I) said "you can choose your friends but not your family". So we enjoy the many and tolerate the few.

California DMV wanted to charge me a $500 late fee when I registered my Maverick I purchased out of state. I had to haggle to wave the late fee with the Manager, then Director because they said I was over the 20 day grace period. The Director helped me "remember" the actual date I entered California. Just get it done ASAP.

Thanks for the tip, palmtreefrb! I've already scheduled my DMV appointment. I'll be taking the Mav in for smog check and weight certificate before then.
