Took our Explorer in for some recall work and spent some time looking at what was available in hybrids. Then I saw the Maverick!
So my son and I worked online on a build separately - we differed by two options. If we order now it should come ready around the same time our Explorer lease is up. We had leased as we wanted to see which way the wind was blowing before committing long term. We’re looking at a Lariat hybrid — it’s got most of the bells and whistles we want.
I’ve always driven F-250’s for towing horses and have gone through maybe ten of them over the past thirty plus years. Sold the ranch and moved into a “neighborhood” and really missed having a truck, much as I’ve liked the Explorer. The Maverick looks like the perfect workhorse we need while still fitting in the garage. (Don’t you love HOA’s.). It seems handy enough for this old lady to park yet big enough for my six foot son to be comfortable in. Looking forward to some road trips in it.
Appreciate the threads and comments on this forum - big help in building our truck.
