They started with eighteen. Im sure just like all the guys that bought multiple Mavericks and sold them for a profit weren't mad that they made money .

I barely was able to afford my XLT Tremor below msrp to plus and dealer fees. No markups or add ons due to me ordering and waiting. But that's just me. I would have loved to have gotten a Lariat Tremor.

The market is crazy right now and I have seen worse then a $10000 mark up on a Maverick. There was an Los Angeles dealership that had a Lariat lux 2023 hybrid with and $18,000 markup and dealership add ons. That's was over 52k for a Maverick before taxes and fees. 57K 🫠. It was gone in three days someone bought or stolen, or leased it.

GOSCH is not my favorite dealership, it's not even close to my favorite. This is just the one nearest to me. My favorite dealership is 38 miles from my house.

I didn't get the protection pack, I am only assuming here, it's a paint protection, interior protection and a tracking system. All things that are unnecessary and if wanted should be negotiated.

I was going to ask if you feel that negotiating with Gosch would be productive in getting a reasonable price but it seems like you're not that knowledgeable about their business.

If you're looking to buy a Maverick on the lot any where in California, especially Southern California, I wish you the best on your mission to find one without negotiating the markups off or away.

There are plenty of people who need a truck, and are tired of waiting. Or need to replace a smashed one.

I get nothing from posting this. It is just information. I also said the marks were crazy, and that they [the dealership] are willing to earn your business. If they don't earn it, find someone who will.

You get nothing from the salesman if someone said you sent them? When I sold cars if someone referred a customer to me and I sold them a vehicle, the dealership would send at least $100 to the person that referred them to me and that was 20 years ago. If they sold a Maverick to someone you referred, you should get at least a thousand with those insane markups they have.

If they sold a Maverick to someone you referred, you should get at least a thousand with those insane markups they have.

Yes you could get a could a good deal. I would personally negotiate the whole markup off. And if none of the protection pack stuff was put on the truck, negotiate that off too. If you are serious Email or call Chris and go in and face to face make your deal. I know they won't talk any deals on the phone.

Being the show room, I have heard the other salesman saying we don't make deals over the phone while they were on the phone.

Sorry but they don't sound like a dealer I would want to do business with.

Well good luck trying to buy a car or truck on any lot in SoCal. Go up to CenCal or NorCal.

A guy posted earlier in NorCal you can expect a 3000 markup.

My next vehicle purchase I hope not to be in California. And would really like to be a cash deal, no financing or cacameme.

I know Granger in Iowa, Town and Country in Alabama, and Long McArthur in Kansas are very good dealerships and have great reviews and long standing reputations.

But you will have to roll out of state for them.

Yes I saw they just got 20 in stock. I’m in CA and did pay $500 “opportunity “ fee as it was the best deal at the time. If you plan to keep it forever the cost is not as bad. I just now looked at blue book and my private party is at least $5,000 over my purchase price last April. It is kind of like houses, it doesn’t matter till you sell...

This guy was speaking with me and said Chris wasn't in today, don't know him but he said they're aggressively trying to earn your business. You can still tell him about the MTC post.

That is ridiculous. I just found mine on the lot at Heritage Ford here in Indiana. Paid MSRP with no mark up. When I left, they still still had a Lariat available. I understand these are hard to find, but that is just bad business.
