I agree with you. I hate my sales tax rate it is also ridiculous. 10.75 % plus a weight fee of $80. The weight is ridiculous and the city I live in has a city fee of $20, plus registration fee and title fee. It's all a sham 🫠. Thats every year.

Not really a California thing. National availability is rough. I am looking at a Maverick XLT Hybrid in Georgetown Texas. Has $3K over plus the dealer addendum $2K. Yep. $5K total but with year end coming (even fewer availble) and next years models being a bit higher in price, it still makes sense. Besides, customer gets the write off on this year and seems like a decent win-win.
