I think the shoes that inspired the Lariat interior were Levi’s too.

Looks like an AMC Gremlin. Older brother had one with a 3 speed manual transmission. It was the first car I ever drove when I was about 12 years old.

Well, who cares where they got the idea... I like it in my XLT.

Because they got em from one of the coolest car makers to ever exist! Those guys competed well in racing on a 1/10th budget, invented the crossover, saved Jeep, built Graboid hunting rigs, and designed a indestructable inline 6 that they left as a parting gift on their deathbed. That motor ran for in production for 19 years and every offroader cried havac the day they stopped builing em.

Any idea taken from them is pure gold if applied at the right moment in history.
