Cheap decent looking rims in western Canada?

Hey all,

I am getting winter tires so I want them to stay on my steelies. Any recommendations for cheap good looking rims the size of the standard factory wheels? I won't be buying until spring so never mind sales.

Use this guide, you can search for all vehicles with 5x108 bolt pattern. I’ve found some Volvo wheels are a direct fit and can be reasonable.

Go to lkq or another recycler and find a set off an escape or other vehicle with same bolt pattern.

I'd call around independent tire shops to see if they have "last seasons" wheels on sale. I scored some nice flow formed wheels for the same price as cast wheels

Hey all,

I found a set of 18" wheels from a 2015 Volvo XC70 that will fit. They measure about an inch wider and offset slightly more towards the centre of the vehicle, (so no poking outwards). I stripped off the clear coat, repaired a slight bit of curb rash, polished them and re-clearcoated them. I paid $120 for all 4. Pictures are of the wheels I bought after refinishing, and some internet images of what they look like on the original vehicle. I do NOT have them mounted yet as I'm still waiting for my 23-34 rollover to be delivered. Using either a 245/50/18 or a 225/55/18 tire will net you pretty much exactly the same circumference as the original 225/60/17 tire size. Tire/wheel weight and rolling resistance will be slightly more than stock and will likely result in a slight loss of MPG/Liters per 100 km.

225/60/18 is the stock size for maverick 18" wheels.
You can also go 235/60/18 or 245/60/18, but might into rubbing issues on the inside unless someone else can chime in with wheels of a similar offset.
