Rough Country Leveling Kit - 1" or 2"

wondering if you have changed the suspension yet? if so what did you end up doing

Havent done anything yet. The same day we got our truck on island, the Lahaina fire started. Our local economy is taking a big hit. We also decided to go gungho on building up our house, as we waited for the truck to arrive we started building a carport for the Tremor and a bedroom we dont need a ladder to get into. Needless to say any mods are gonna be a lil ways in the future. Probably might not even happen till we are ready for new tires. I've settled on 255/65r17s or 245/70r17s. The truck rides so good as is, I think a spring swap will be the best thing for us.

Does the Tremor have the one or one and a half rake in the truck from the factory ? I am thinking two inch lift springs in the front ,would give a one inch lift on a Tremor . And a level stance .

I went with the RC 2 inch lift strut kit. I love it! I put some 245/65R17 MT Baja Boss ATs. Looks much better than stock. Tons of options out there, I personally went with RC because that is the only kit I could find that has the struts. Eibach has some that are just the springs. I personally didn't want to use the kits that are just spacers. I haven't been able to take a picture that really captures how much better it looks now.

Front and rears. 245 70R17 would definitely fit

Even if there was such a thing as factory rake (which is really just load handling ability) built in, it wouldnt matter for me as I have a topper. Also lifting the front and not the rear lowers rear bumper clearance because of pivot. Just like a teeter totter. Lifting the rear only 1 in and the front 2 in would probably lift the rear bumper about 0.5 in. Not really worth the hassle. Also I grew up drawing cars on placemats in resteraunts. Every single one of them had a few key things flames coming from the exhaust, giant rear tires, and the rear of the vehicle super high up so the driver could sit level while it was doing a wheelie on to the actual table top at which point I would get yelled at for drawing off the placemat! So I dont do that level/stance/rake thing. In any vehicle the rear should be higher than the front(except a 49 Mercury) so that I can haul a load and carry passengers without my vehicle looking weak and over loaded.

When I do lift it. It will most likely be a straight 2" F/R with air bags in the rear coils for load handling.
Not getting snippy just fighting back against the tides in the Carolinas.

I am thinking exactly the same with air bags and on board air compressor for the rear , but 2 inch springs in the front . this way I can always keep the truck sitting level .You must be from the gasser age before drag racers understood about weight transfer , the days of 90-10 front shocks .

The point I am trying to make is , if the Tremor already has one inch longer springs in the front . And we add a 2 inch aftermarket spring for a FX4 . Then we are getting one inch of lift . Maybe my thinking is not correct . Hopefully some one will do it soon and report the results . I am not getting my Tremor for another month ,and then I can tell you if it will work . Thanks

Im only 39. I just dont like the rear end being low on anything. Just doesnt look cool to me. Dragsters still sit higher in the rear. Atleast Top Fuel does. So doesnt alot of race cars. Rear end a touch high is just more exciting. I prefer that stand out exciting look over the subtle blend in look. Im a ginger blending in was never and option.

That should in theory work. But the way mine has sat from the factory. I would not want to add any front lift without also adding rear.

Yes a lot have done that including me, browse through the forum you will find plenty of information.
I did the 1" RC in the front. And I am about to swap it with the RC 1.5" coilovers made for the bronco Sport.
