Ok, just put in an order for a 2024 Lariat AWD. In 2021 I ordered the Maverick XLT AWD for my wife on July 2nd 2021 and it came in on December 20th 2021. So now that I ordered one for my Daughter, I know it's gonna take at least 5 to 6 months so I don't think I'll be as stressed as the 1st one. More thinking, hmmm, just keep throwing 500 bucks a month into my account and add some extra down-payment money to keep the SEVEN PERCENT INTEREST RATE manageable (versus the 1.9 percent we have now). How about the rest of you who've done this dog and pony show before, are you less stressed about the anticipated wait time? I am and I hope you are too. Time for more coffee:)

My '23 was delivered in 5 months, so whenever my '24 shows up, it shows up. Paid cash before, will pay cash again. High interest rates mean a better return on my CD's.

We went in the opposite direction with our 2024 order. We configured what we wanted -- an XL Hybrid -- knowing we might have to wait until the end of the model year run or not get it during the 2024 model year.

We waited eleven months to get the 2022 XL Hybrid. I didn't like it, sold it less than a month later, and ordered a 2023 XLT EB AWD. We received the XLT EB AWD four months after it was ordered.

The 2023 XLT EB AWD is my daily driver. The 2024 XL Hybrid was ordered for my son.

Obviously our kids are lucky to have us:) although my daughter is one of two people to decide how long I'd stay on life support (if needed) so you know I'm gonna treat her very well:) Maverick Lariat honey? 😀

If you can do it put the money away. If you can beat the current 7+ % interest more power to you. When I was looking on Vroom just to see what they were gouging price wise they were offering 10% interest. From my personal experience my credit union beats their competitors by 1%.
Who do you know that can hook you up with a Maverick in 6 months? That makes you a celebrity on this page.

First one took 16 months. If my 23 scheduled build holds it will be around 12 months for the 2nd one. No stressing on either of them. They get here when they get here.

I think I accidentally built it correctly without any constraints at the time. Its an XLT AWD with the luxury package in Hot Pepper Red. Plus I ordered it about 10 to 15 days after you were able and before all the extra hype (well deserved) began.
