Hello, I was supposed to be a hybrid owner by now but my delivery date keeps changing.
Last year, I ordered a XLT hybrid with 2 options, full size spare tire, and trailer hitch. I paid attention to the supply constraints, and decided to drop the hitch to increase my chances of getting built.
In March, my dealership told me that I got built and I could expect my Maverick by early may at the latest. That time frame passed, so I called my dealership and then ford to inquire. I was told that my vehicle was waiting shipping still and it would be in by June/mid July . That date passed so I called again. I was then told by FORD that my vehicle had physically left the shipping facility and was en-route to my dealership. That date passed, so I called again and got told my vehicle is still in the shipping yard. Also some sort of quality hold on it. I inquired about the recall situation but was assured by Ford that my vehicle was not under recall or hold for any reason. That date was changed to Late August/early September. Last week, my delivery date had been changed to October so I call again... It's still in Mexico, waiting shipping, and not under recall.
FORD told me I should qualify for some incentive, so they transfer me over to marketing and the polite folks over there tell me sorry, you get nothing. Really, I just want accurate information on the status of my vehicle but I didn't even ask for anything. Is this normal? Is this how FORD treats everyone? I knew I was in for a wait, but to be told my vehicle was built in March and still not have it is crazy to me. Is there somewhere or someone else at FORD that I can talk to? Thanks for the advice and listening to my rant!

Sounds like yours might have been on one of the trains that wrecked! Who knows. Your story certainly seems to be needing some input from SOMEONE that can give a factual answer. Good Luck.
I would probably ask your Dealers Sales or General Manager to talk to their Ford Rep about this.

I did. Ultimately, My dealership always says, "Ford has more information that we do" I'll call Ford and Ford will will say, "Your dealership has more information than we do." I spoke with the sales manager at my dealership yesterday, they "Made some phone calls to Ford and someone down there is looking into it." Which historically has meant I'm going to hear nothing until I get upset about no communication and call everyone back a month or 2 from now.

You should find the post from the guy who was just (yesterday) told by his dealer that they got a Maverick in his name that isn't the Maverick he ordered. Something about having options he didn't order, and they couldn't hold the vehicle on the lot overnight.

Jump on that vehicle, it should be in Michigan.
