I've barely got 400 miles on the new Maverick and I love it. Looking forward to installing all of these upgrades over the next few weeks. Any feedback is appreciated. Im not the handiest of guys and Im not really wanting to go too far away from the OEM look. The sport stripe is really pushing it for my tastes but I think the white needs something on the bottom of the doors to accent all of the black.

Dash Cam - https://www.amazon.com/dp/B074JT369...NGZBNBVC&psc=1&ref_=list_c_wl_lv_ov_lig_dp_it

I got the Forscan adapter mainly to enable Eco and Sport modes and remove the horn beeps when I leave the keys in the car. I already have an OBD scanner for error reading. I plan on towing a 16ft, 2600lb dry GeoPro 16TB at some point in the future but we will get there when we get there.

I appreciate everyone in this group. What a great place to learn and share with other weird small truck people.

If anyone wants to see or get a review of any of these products, I'll post pics of the progress and answer all of the questions I can. The items are still arriving.

And so it begins. Tires are in (not mounted yet). DIY truck tethering kit is made (not mounted), center console organizer works great, sun screen (fits perfect). I know there are many threads about 2x6's and wood. If you dont have a saw (me) and dont care about how it looks because its under a cover (me), these ratcheting cargo bars from Harbor Freight work out nicely.

https://www.harborfreight.com/ratcheting-cargo-bar-96811.html

I am waiting for a trim kit to become available in matte black. Im not much for the faux carbon fiber or wood. Ive got a scratch right under the drivers door handle that will eventually drive me mad. So, there's that.

I'm sure whatever you do with your Mav will be great, make it your own. They have cool inexpensive things to add to the interior which is nice. I added the matte black radio plate under the knobs. Then I took a chance and got the matching knob covers that goes pretty good with the dessert brown look. Then I decided to fill the cubby with my initials with a design I found online. Anyway, good luck and enjoy!!

Nice Truck and a good list of mods !!! My only thought that you may or may not want to consider is the hood struts. I chose the Redline awhile back and have been very pleased. I went with the Redlines instead of several other brands due to the Redlines only require removing ONE of the 2 bolts on each side of the hood which prevents disturbing the factory hood alignment which could possibly change once you have both bolts removed during the install process. (Just a thought)

You've made more upgrades in one weekend than I even have planned! Looks good.

Very nice. Good choice in tires, but personally, I'd skip that K&N snake oil filter. I have that ratcheting cargo bar and a muslogy cargo net. They pair together nicely. I'm interested to see your bed divider design. It's next on my list but still shopping around for ideas.

Thanks for sharing!

The Musology cargo net is a repackaged generic Chinese-made net you can get from Princess Auto (or likely from Harbor Freight in the US) for under 10$. I've order both and they're the exact same item. The only difference I've found is that the Musoloy kit comes with metal carabiners, whereas the generic version comes with plastic clips.

For a few bucks more, might as well get the Musology and call it a day. Either way, for the price, absolutely worth it.

I think I'd actually prefer a quicker plastic clip version lol. The chances of those carabiners holding up in Montana are slim. I doubt they are rust proof.

Thanks everyone. It's been a fun little truck so far. I got the tonneau installed and am about to jump on the computer and see what I can do in Forescan. Still haven't gotten the tires mounted yet.

Im going to stay away from the hood struts and Im not sure about the air filter. I still have one in my garage that I never installed on my F-150. I have a cargo net and a small graphic for the bottoms of the doors coming from Ford (Just to break up the white and black a little). Also have the textured hood protector to add. Im trying to be subtle. Ive given thought to plastidipping the tow hooks 'racing red' or getting real fancy and doing the calipers.

Until tomorrow.

Im a golfer. I wanted something that gives easy access to emergency gear (in the crates) and still allow me to put my clubs in and out from the tailgate. We will see on Thursday when the crates come in.

Storage update.

Ratcheting crossbar
3 foldable milk crates
Golf clubs

*when the clubs aren’t in the truck, I run bungee through the crates to keep them closer to the tailgate.
