I have a 2023 ford maverick xlt with the LUX package all wheel drive eco boost. I just noticed on some other people's mavericks their display looks different than mine. Are their different displays you can add when building the maverick?

fx4 (or lariat) upgrades the driver display.

Ok that must be the difference. I did not do the FX4 package. I see the instrument cluster upgrade now on the ford website when building.

WIth XLT if you add FX4 package you get the bigger console display found in the Lariat (the one above the steering wheel)... That entertainment display in the center stack is common amongst all trims for MY2022/MY2023.

Kind of hoping something minor like this is a MY2024 change we will see...

My sense is that with XLT is that the larger console display should be included with any of the following package addons;
buy CoPilot365 - console goes to 6.5" to better utilize those features
buy 4KTow - console goes to 6.5" to better utilize those features
buy FX4 - console goes to 6.5" to better utilize those features (this is done now!)
buy Luxury - console goes to 6.5" becuase, well it's supposed to a bit more luxurious.

The smaller console display it's a bit silly when you've ponied up for the XLT and any of it's packages. The jump from XLT is $2260.. and amost any of these packages alone increases that $2910 to $3990... ... say you buy XLT, 360, 4K and Lux: $5,385 increase from that XL EB AWD to XLT EB AWD and you still have the 4" screen. ok, but spend $800 more on the FX4, now we will give it to you...silly...

If we're going to see big price increases on Maverick for MY2024 as rumored... I could see the XL offering power mirrors standard, the XLT console display going to 6.5" standard, Then the Lariat differentiator might be the center stack entertainment console going full width as standard and loosing the cubby. Who knows? Smaller standard adders that would be appreciated at each of those trims if prices to jump considerably (especially when adding packages on top).

sorry, that post ended up being long.... guess I had something to get off of my chest about trim levels, packaging and screen sizes.. 😅😂😆

XLT Tremor also gets the bigger 6.5" console display.

As far as the center stack goes - how does the lariat SYNC3 compare to the standard XLT center stack software? Is that something that can be upgraded via software? or do you need to swap out the head unit?

I use Android Auto 100% of the time anyway, but just curious if anyone knows.

I agree I bought the Lux package and 4k tow package. I ended up not going with with the FX4 package as I live in suburbs and there is not much off road options around me.

You need to swap out the hardware as while the Connected Touch Radio system looks like Sync 3 it's its own thing running on cost reduced electronics. Supposedly sort of a Sync 2.5 that came from Ford Europe.
