I have a 2023 Lariat sitting at All American Ford in Old Bridge NJ for over a month for a STOP SALE order from Ford because the trailer light wiring harness is wrong. The problem is they only refer to trucks made from 11/23/22 to 2/10/23. So they were ok before then and have been making the truck with the correct harness for over 2 months now so why haven't they sent a replacement for my truck harness? I have called every number at Ford, everyone agreed with me that I should not have this problem but nobody knows who can solve the problem. Hard to believe such a big company is so incompetent. Anybody have any Ideas? I am about to look at something else now, I turned in my lease F150 in March before this disaster and now I don't have anything to use.

I bought an Explorer on 3/17 I have yet to take home because of a safety feature that didn't exist on the vehicle I traded in.

In Ford's defense, it likely has to do with parts sourcing as they didn't order more parts than they needed to build. It takes time to ramp up because their supplier has to work with their own suppliers, etc.

Ford has the parts to build new Mavricks, customer satisfaction use to come first. The dealer has to insure this truck on the lot and pay interest, Ford does not reimburse the dealer even though it isn't their fault, again, poor customer service.

To Firebird 87,
Is the dealership using your vehicle to advertise as it sits their lot? Plus, Ford is not supplying the part. Did you have your leased vehicle through this dealership?

First off, I would tell the dealer, since your new vehicle is being used as a ”come on” car, you need to give me a loaner car until the dealership and Ford get their act together. Plus,, if you leased through them on your previous vehicle it would be another reason they should get you a temp vehicle or work harder on getting your part.

Finally, tell them they need to give you a discount on your price, due to Ford’s lack of action on a simple fix. Or they need to give you free oil changes at their dealership for the first five years. Or they need to give you the extended warranty for free. You get the idea, don’t let them off the hook, the dealer and Ford will only help you if it’s going to cost them money. Be firm and persistent. Also, I would jokingly say, you don’t want me picketing in front of your dealership, do you? lol Good luck!

Thanks but I am dealing with a lot of empty heads here, the dealer would like me to walk away so they can sell it with a 5k mark up

My friend has an Escape At Honolulu Ford for 4 months! It blew an engine in warranty and they have given her two loaners so far, meanwhile her Escape is sitting in the hot sun baking away I repaired.
