I just got off a call with Ford regarding the delivery of my Mav. I was told it is currently at a junction in Illinois and is due to be picked up by tomorrow to go to my dealer. That led to a question they couldn't answer. I live in Georgia and my truck is to be delivered to my dealer in Georgia. By them saying it is being picked up to send to my dealer does that mean a train ride to Georgia to then be put on a truck, or does it mean it is going on a truck in Illinois and coming to my dealer? Any thoughts or ideas?

Look on your window sticker and you will find a four digit/letter code in a box called Ramp 1. There is a thread on this forum which will decode it and tell you the final rail destination of your Maverick. Seriously doubt it is Illinois.

I just called and was also told it was at the Junction point in Illinois.
What they are trying to say is that the rail car was disconnected there, and is waiting to get connected to its next train.

I tried calling the CSX number, but it had some old status. The tracking thread said CSX does east of Mississippi, but doesn’t seem entirely correct. The Norfolk Southern example has a TTGX car number, which is what I have. So I called it and got accurate status.

If you don’t have the rail car number, ask your dealer for a screenshot of your visibility report, it is on there. Or ask them to just tell you it.

My dealer said he couldn't get me the rail car number aand to be honest, i am tired of asking him for it.

That stinks. Won’t get you a copy of the Visibility report either? Don’t have to say why you want it.

I already looked up the ramp number and (RA3J) and it doesn't show where that is on the thread. The only one in Georgia that is even close to that number is CA3J.

Nope, they seem a little clueless or indifferent.
Terrible.
It seems the Customer Service people have what seems is the equivalent of the newest line on the Visibility Report. It doesn’t seem like they can see all the lines, because I asked them for a rail car (2 different calls), they say they don’t have it. But it is clearly on the Visibility Report a line or 2 down.
So either don’t really have access, have been told not to give out rail car numbers, or don’t know have to pull up more lines.

My thought is when whoever came up with how scheduling is done finished that project they moved them over to work on delivery.

Georgia to Illinois is about a 12 hour drive, so if they put it on a truck after it comes off the train it should only take a few days.

Dealers are under no obligation to provide customers with copies of internal communications like VVR. My dealer will pull report up and let me look at it if I ask to come around the other side of the desk to see the screen instead of them just reading off items to me as I ask for details. 🤷‍♂️

That is correct, they don’t have to. But the good dealers will. Mine did without hesitation.

I'm in Atlanta area and also have ramp RA3J. Did you find out its location?

RA3J is probably 1490 Winder Highway (Route 29), Dacula, GA 30211, just outside Atlanta. I have a theory, which so far only partially works, is that "C" at the start of the ramp code is for "Convoy" and "R" is for "Rail".
