This past week I've taken my boat out for the first few trips with the Maverick. The boat and trailer are in the combined weight range of 3,000-3,500 pounds and once again, I am impressed with the tiny truck. Pulled it no problem, stopped it no problem, honestly it did not feel out of place at all towing this thing. Gets about 14mpg according to the dash when towing mostly highway. You fellow fisherman who were seeking confirmation like I was that the Maverick was up to the task of lugging around an 18' fiberglass boat, you are good to go!
Side semi-related note, you can fit up to an 8' one piece rod in the cabin diagonally from the front passenger floorboard to the top rear corner of the backseat on the drivers side. You have to bend the rod slightly to get in through the door, but once its in the truck it can sit straight.
