I have a turbo boost on my Mav and I am changing my oil every 5000 miles with a full synthetic oil to reduce the carbon buildup. I call it cheap insurance...;)
Have you thought about adding a cheap oil catch can (see link below). I think that's my next add on my XL EB. These turbo'd ECOboost motors arent meant to last more than like 150k. Hoping the catch can will deter the death of it

Just reboot it while holding the option key down. That should do it.

Hope this helps.

Have you considered having it serviced at the dealership?

Just spitballin'.
yes I have in fact I’ve brought it in numerous times. Back ordered exhuast only for the exhuast system to keep falling apart or malfunctioning. March is supposedly the time when it arrives. But-now the PCM isn’t working correctly with it I assume. Multiple valve codes.

I was literally saying that exact thing 1 year ago when I bought this. Take heed of my post. This is no troll, or joke by no means. I’m so close to just calling up an attorney and seeing my options. First it was the surging which got fixed, now it’s the exhuast system, which got backordered, which them spewed out more issues such as engine misfiring, and now electrical systems aren’t functioning correctly. The ford maverick is still a driving “experiment” as quoted from my friends and people I know. I am waiting patiently to get it fixed in March hopefully but I am so close to just ditching this truck in general, and trading it in after repairs that should happen in March.
Sounds like you are close to a lemon law refund.

Honestly, a certain percentage of components WILL fail. It happens with every manufacturer. Unfortunately the laws of probability mean that somebody gets stuck with a vehicle that has multiple components that will fail.

Given that these are from the first model year, more issues are to be expected - to a point.

Mine has been back 3 times. The first was for a seat belt sensor malfunction, the second for a broken rear window regulator and the third for the air bag recall. My last two new cars went back exactly once. My wife had one issue over her last 3 vehicles. Mazdas, Kias and a Nissan.

Maybe die hard ford fans with beaten wife syndrome just accept this sort of thing, but honestly if mine leaves me stranded I'll seriously consider trading it. And it's a shame, I really wanted to give ford a fair chance as an American company.

In spite of the fact that the maverick is exactly the vehicle I wanted for the last 25 years, I just don't have time to keep taking it in for repairs.

I hope they find the problem and you can enjoy your truck! Mine is currently at the dealer for the airbag recall and check engine light. I should know today what they found. I think the issues are particularly frustrating because it is an amazing vehicle otherwise! Is the Mav poorly executed genius?
Let me know what ur engine light is. I’m waiting on my airbags still.

I almost traded it in a few months ago for a Chevy Silverado, but then misfiring started happening, and had to go through with waiting for the back ordered exhuast. It’s a shame, because we all relate in the way of wanting the maverick because it was a truck we’ve all wanted., only to be let down with a truck that still needed one more year of testing instead of releasing fast. It was like my dream truck. We’ll see what the future has up its sleeves. I have not gotten good customer service from ford in general. The amount of time, and relentless attempts to repair this issue has been annoying to say the least. I had to open a ticket with ford customer service in Michigan to get a truck specialist to follow me along with this issue.

Haters will hate. That's fine, makes no difference to me. I love mine and the capabilities it provides with the AWD and 4K Tow that I need.
I was thinking about getting the AWD version after I get these issues resolved… hopefully not marked up.

No word yet. The tech started looking at it, but didn’t leave any notes.

Fortunately, mine has been perfect in 20,000 miles and I much prefer it to the ‘21 RAV4 hybrid I sold to get my Maverick. Such is life.
..
When was yours manufactured? When did you take delivery?

More hybrid issues. I'm just keeping mine just in case there's a class action lawsuit I can get a settlement check!

Taking into account emotional damage! Lol! You come out with our dream truck only to be plague with problems!

I know it has to be low cost to make but I would have preferred a solid hybrid engine over the other useless features like lane keeping assist, auto wipers and headlights, auto hold, etc...

I just want a solid hybrid drivetrain and performance like the Rav4 in a truck form!
My ‘22 has almost 15k in miles with no issues other than the two recalls that were handled in one visit to the dealer. Good luck with the class action suit for which the lawyers get 90% and you get 10%.
