Hello all,

Thank you for the acceptance. I just bought my 2023 Ford Maverick Lariat on February 6th, 2023. And understanding the waiting most of you have gone through or are going through, I feel a little guilty about my efforts to get my Maverick. I have been considering a Maverick for quite some time, but never wanted to go through the ordering process (which I guess I would've missed anyway with the short window). Still, I kept looking for anything used or new that might have shown up on a lot. I also checked Ford's site for inventory. I saw two on a lot here back in December. It really made no sense, but instead of calling, I drove out there. Asked a salesperson if there really was two on the lot. He responded that they were not on the lot and never had been. However, he took my name and said he would call me if anything showed up one the lot.

Two days ago, he called mid-afternoon and said someone who ordered one, no longer wanted it and asked if I was still interested. I immediately drove out to the lot and a couple of hours later I had a Maverick with 6 miles on it.

So, depends on how you look at it, I only waited 2 months or 2 hours. Therefore, I am a bit guilty posting this considering everything all of you have gone through or are going through. However, I do appreciate what you are going through. I am very fortunate and very much enjoy the Maverick so far.

I look forward to interacting with everyone.

Helfman Ford and yes, I did pay premium and it appears about the average markup I am seeing on the internet.

Helfman Ford and yes, I did pay premium.
i ordered mine through helfman and didn't have any funny business at delivery (i had some concern - that was 14+ months ago and the market was much worse and i really needed a new vehicle.) or $$$ nitrogen fill, etching etc. my total time at dealership was 1/2 hour or so.
and it was the first time i actually had set foot in the helfman showroom.

So glad it worked out with no funny business at Helfman! They do seem like a good group of folks. I have stopped in at other dealerships in Houston in this sojourn. Interesting reception - almost like "nope we do not have Mavericks - too bad for you." This one took that extra step to at least record my name and followed up.

Congrats. Don’t feel guilty. You worked to get one and got one. Yes, it meant paying extra, but was your money and was well spent. While I do feel very sorry for folks who have waited a year or more, I just feel good when someone finds one. I had to fly to Detroit and drive one back 1200 miles, but no complaints here.

Enjoy your Maverick and keep an eye out for posts from Redneck Garage or Ole Ford Guy. While many people have great posts and/or replies, these guys are some of the best.

Did you finance it? If so, was it through Ford or a Credit Union/Bank?

What was the current interest rate?
