I love Those wheels did you paint them black?

Yesterday I installed the Agri Lomax Hard Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover in Matte Black that I purchased via Alex from RealTruck here on this Forum. As others have mentioned, Alex was able to offer a very competitive price on the cover and shipping was extremely quick.

The installation was straight-forward and simple. I am very happy with the low-profile nature of the cover as well as the matte black texture, which is exactly what I was looking for in a tonneau cover.

Somehow I never saw this post. Looks great man! How do you like the exhaust? I want more sound but hate drone in the cabin when at cruising speeds. Also I Plasti dipped my ford emblems, may redo it so the “ford” and chrome ring are gloss black. How are you doing yours?

What is this wizardry? I mean, I've plasti-dipped things before - but how'd you get the chrome to pop so cleanly?

I sprayed it all then peeled away the chrome parts. There’s a little gap between the “ford” and the blue part, so you can peel away the parts you don’t want coated. Had to use a toothpick and non marring plastic scraper on some of the smaller pieces.

Ahhh, so the toothpick/scraper (I'm picturing like a spudger for opening electronics ?) are the key. Thanks, man - I'm totally doing this when I finally get mine (hopefully end of Feb/beginning of March).

I used the corner of a plastic squeegee meant for vinyl wrapping but yea anything that’s soft plastic so it doesn’t scratch.

Could the hub caps be simply hand painted? Or powder coated? For better results?
Ha, better results? Not sure exactly what you're asking here but the chrome center caps that I currently have on the truck are from the Ford Chrome Victoria Police Interceptors. I left them chrome on purpose. I powder coated the OEM center caps satin black to match the wheels and may swap them out from time to time. To specifically answer your question...yes, you could paint anything any color your want.

Never painted before. Would it last in the weather rain, snow, sun fade. Or would it be better to powder coat.

Powder coating (especially professionally) would generally hold up better than spray-canning but...they are cheap OEM wheels so if you have the time to prep, tape off, etc. then that's an option as well. May just have to re-apply based on conditions. Also...I'm not a professional. This is just my opinion.

For those interested, the OEM steelies have been powder-coated satin black and the chrome Crown Victoria center caps have been installed! Thoughts? Feedback on this look versus lowered on stock steelies?

Installed the Focal 2-way component speakers today...the factory panel covering the tweeters has essentially one-use clips so those need to be replaced but other than that no real issues. Also, replaced the 4" speakers in the back. The sound is noticeably better but not be a huge margin. Honestly, unless you are doing an amp and sub to go along with upgraded speakers I am not sure if it's totally worth it.

Put a K&N air filter in the cabin as well...likely a waste of money but I like doing little things and at least I can keep this one forever so long as I keep it clean and oiled.

Loading the Cobb AccessPort 93 OCT + TCM Sport tune and smoking out all of the lights and we'll finally be 'done.' Or at least close enough for now!

I "installed" the Cobb Accessport this morning with the Stage 1 93 OCT & Sport TCM. Prior to installing the Accessport, I removed the AutoStop Eliminator I had in-line in order to eliminate any unnecessary conflicts. After the OEM ECU tune and data was save (took longer than I expected, approximately 15+ minutes), I then went into Tune Adjustments and disable AutoStop within the Accessport and adjusted the tire size to the 245/65/17s I have on the truck.

I was able to go on a ~20 mile drive after the install and the first impressions are that, while it definitely pulls harder (which is fantastic), the difference between the shift-points, upshift/downshift firmness, and predictable shift logic is NIGHT AND DAY with the OEM transmission module tune. It's SO much better on the driving experience even with a short experimental drive.

Now I am waiting to get the Tune Ticket email from Panda Motorsports for them to create a custom tune based on the modifications I have installed on the truck.

Today I was able to cram my arm far enough up behind the headliner with the two retaining clips detached and blindly unclip the OEM harness, feed the new smoked LED lens housing wire through the hole in the back of the cab, and then (somehow) blindly attach the new harness to the female end while it was still clipped to the ceiling...It was not a pleasant experience and my hand is still feeling the effects (pain) but the light works!

I also applied the Charcoal-tinted Lamin-x film to the front side markers since the weather is relatively warm and those pieces of film weren't complicated to apply. I like the look and the thickness of the Lamin-x. When the weather really turns warmer, I'll focus on the more difficult lenses. I have pre-cut Lamin-x in Smoked-tint for the front turn signals and the rear reverse lights (not the whole tail).
