Hi Everyone,

Looks like our local dealers here are starting to post on their sites that the Mavericks are arriving (soon). Problem is that their prices are near and/or above $30k. I remember somewhere through all these threads that some dealers are not overcharging for these trucks and I'd be willing to fly into another state to buy one and drive it home. I am simply looking for the basic no frills XL hybrid in Cactus Gray or Area 51, for around that $20k+/- price point. Can someone point me in the right direction? Or am I dreaming?

Thanks, Dave

Not to burst your bubble but if you don't have the Hybrid ordered already it may be awhile before one is sitting on a lot available for purchase. From my understanding, Hybrids are being built for retail orders only, not stock. But, someone could order just want you want and walk away so the dealer could sell it on their lot.

I ordered mine through Ed Kenley in Layton. They charged just MSRP with no other fees. I believe if you order through the dealer (retail otders)they charge just MSRP and destination fees, with no dealer markups. It's their regular stock vehicles that are getting additional dealer markups.

My XLT, Hybrid, 360, with the luxury package and a few other small items came out to about $28,700.

To be fair it's not hard for an Ecoboost AWD XLT + Lux to end up over $30k. With limited allocations I wouldn't expect many dealers to be ordering total stripper trim XLs as their initial stock.

Darnon, I was afraid of that. I am not in a hurry to buy one so maybe if I just order one and have to wait a couple months then that's what I'll do.
