See my reply below, they did add the mid year price increase to my truck at first but removed it after we discussed the issue. What does the window sticker show the price as. Does it agree with what you signed up for. Just curious to see if ford added the mid year increase.
That's awesome!I just picked up my Lariat with luxury package, it was $31,000 (included copilot 360 and cyber orange paint) on my order one year ago, Oct 2021. When I went to pick it up the total with and tags was about $40,000. I explained that they were supposed to sell it for the original price on my paperwork a year ago. I mentioned the Vincent button I had read about here. They returned after a visit to their manager with my original pricing and I left a happy customer. Total with tax and tags about $34,000.
You made the right choice in my opinion. Don't know if you had to buy something else during your wait but you can figure that you didn't insure it or registration for the year you were waiting so you saved about 1,500 to help ease the pain. I know, it's a model year old and you spent more on gas during the wait but just looking for a little bright side.Rockhound has been a big help to me but in the end it’s their truck unless I take them to court which I am not prepared to do.
I just returned and we screamed at each other for half an hour. He was not going to move from current Msrp. That would have been attractive but I had that earlier better offer. I had already seen the truck and that Cactus Gray in the Texas sun was gorgeous! I knew I had to have it even though I plan on flipping it soon. So I bought it with only the manager promise to send me any protection money he receives from Ford. I still think I can make a few grand off of it. If not, I’ll just keep it. I pick it up tomorrow.
It's good to hear your dealership honored the original pricing after reading of others on here who weren't as fortunate. If you financed your Maverick, did they honor the interest rates from Oct 21? I'm a Oct 21 order also and have a build date of 11/14/22. I want to be prepared when my truck arrives.I just picked up my Lariat with luxury package, it was $31,000 (included copilot 360 and cyber orange paint) on my order one year ago, Oct 2021. The window sticker will always show the latest price. The dealer then can go into a Ford Corp. program called "SMART Vincent" find that order, and click on "protection" it will show the price and incentives at time of order. The dealer gets reimbursed 45 days later! What does the window sticker show the price as. Does it agree with what you signed up for. Just curious to see if ford added the mid year increase.

The dealer sent me an email with the buyer's order form showing current MSRP rather than the one in June 2021. It is a $3000 increase. I explained before to the sales manager about price protection for trucks ordered before Dec. 26, 2021 and even included the link on youtube that explains this completely. I wrote back and told them trying to increase the deal by $3000 after making me wait 16 months is as low as it gets. Especially since there is no reason to as Ford makes up the difference. I don't know if I want to pay an additional $3000 as I really don't need the truck. However, I can probably make a few thousand bucks flipping it anyway. It is a fairly loaded Lariat hybrid they want a little over $38,000 for. I think I can sell it for around $4 to 5,000 more than that. Even $3000 more might be worth while since I would just drive it from the dealer, and put it in the garage until it sold. I just hate the thought of letting them keep it and selling it for $10,000 more on the lot. What do you all think?
Dealer lied! And they know it! Name the Dealer, Please!!My dealer today told me I couldn't get the price protection AND the rate protection, that I had to choose. So I chose the rate. But my MSRP only went up $1300
Go over to Reddit and post this dealer to their Dealer Integrity Map.Sounds like a good idea!!!
Let them know you have all paperwork and emails from day one along with the price protection information. Let them know you are reaching out to every local tv news outlet and pitching this consumer rip-off story. The possibility of a news crew showing up at there lot is not worth the profits they would make for Being a**holes ! Trust me when I say this will work. Good luckWell it happened as I predicted.
