Area 51 or Atlas Blue ?

I bet you have some ideas to make that "boring" grey pop!

Tint, tailgate lettering, and keeping it clean (or as clean as I can) is all I've done. Carb Grey with the FE accoutrements actually looks fantastic IMO. Black roof and mirror caps are subtle but a truly nice touch.

Haha!!! Plastic pig, that's hilarious. Never heard that before. I don't know a lot about them, but they are just so damn ridiculous compared to anything here that I like them. I lean towards odd ball vehicles when I can. That why I have an Edsel as well.

thanks to the voters so far, Atlas. BLue 2 to 1 on Area 51…. Keep them coming.. ford blues are some of the best colors of any company in my opinion.

So I originally ordered the A51 but when getting rolled over to a 23 I was going to change it to Atlas blue. But before I could do that I got scheduled, now built, due mid Oct. I thought Alto was too dark. Didn't like the Velocity Blue at all. I'm still fine with the A51, seen a couple in person and they do look different than pictures show. Also way easier to not show road dirt on A51.

Neither. I've hated Area 51 from the beginning.
I considered Atlas until the moment that I saw it on an F150 two weeks ago.....and it's neither dark enough to be serious, nor bright enough to be alive.

If I have to have blue, Velocity has always been my first choice. Following by Alto.

But I like bright colors, so hot pepper red for me (though I did see a cyber orange XLT last week, and what a beauty!)

It’s funny to me how the flat paints have home a thing.. some look amazing, but my brain still wants to know where the clearcote went.. but tastes differ, as Paddy said, kissing his cow.

Yeah…I’m def getting a ceramic coat or something as soon as I get mine. I understand it’s a budget vehicle but after such a long wait I’d be pissed if I got paint scuffs right away

Yup, Area 51 I think.. lol. The Reliant was popular because they were considered motorbikes, and could be driven without a licens, “by drunks who lost their license”. Reverse was a plate in the floor that you lifted up and walked it back with your feet.

The Mav definitely needs more color choices, make it an upcharge if need be, but dam, 7 grey scale and a few others is not a color range.. please ford.. 2024, 6 more “real” colors please.

I do think A51 is a great dust hide color, and a hot area color. Alto is too dark, I agree, but it is the most “dynamic” paint color I think.. but yes, too dark for me also..

The slope of the rear window, same as the ford Angie mk2, was to stop ice/snow from settling. They didn’t freeze over or build up with the inverted slant.

You will find that color on every Austin, Morris, Wolesley, Riley, Ford, etc.etc. Etc of its day.. Mav 51 was a British police car color for many a car in its day also.. ok, maybe a shade off, the cop car was a bit more minty.. lol.
