I had all intentions of ordering Area 51 when I went to the dealer. At the last second I decided on Atlas. Just figured it'd look sharp. I was mostly disappointed there was no dark green available. I've got a really dark green on my current Ram that looks black until the sun hits it just right. I've become quite fond of really dark green on pickups.

I am starting to like the flat non-metallic colors showing up on cars these days. That’s why it was between cactus grey and Area 51 for me.
The flat, subdued colors are very similar to those of my childhood, before metallics existed. So brings fond memories. But the bright and metallic colors that evolved over the years are amazing.. I suppose that’s why I’m so torn.

I do see very few green vehicles around, the average parking lot is now very bland to me. My first Mini was applejack green, loved the color, so yes, we need more greens, lol. And more color in general. And that Ram dark green I’d pretty for sure.

Eruption green would sell. Even though I've never bought a green vehicle before, I'd buy an EG Mav.

I agree with everything looking quite bland these days. I like a good bright silver on some things, but didn't care for it on the Maverick. Never been a red fan and cyber orange looked too yellow.

I would have ordered Eruption green so fast your head would spin. We went back in five days after ordering the Maverick and ordered the wife a Bronco Sport in Eruption Green. Who knows, the way things are looking my Maverick will probably get rolled over to a '24 and maybe that'll be an option for color by then.

Silver can be beautiful, no doubt, but I agree, not for the Mav.. it needs good solid colors, the hot pepper is fine on a low rider or something, but just not right on the Mav either.. race red, a solid orange, a british racing green,, Etc.. utilitarian solid colors for a utilitarian truck.. in my opinion.. eruption green seems a great call also..

British racing green would have been perfect.

Agreed, But being a Brit, I’m biased.. lol
I'm not a Brit, I just like old British cars. I've got a '52 Ford Consul project I'm waiting to start on. Took me 9 years to find one near me. Found it sitting in a field about 100 miles from me. A buddy of mines got a bugeye sprite, a TR3A, and an XKE 2+2. All fun cars yet frustrating as hell sometimes. I'd love to get my hands on a Robin Reliant.

I have fond memories of all those cars, I’m sure you know the reliant has a nickname, “The plastic pig”. ..
good luck with the Consul, funny. Sitting in a field in Idaho for fifty years it has probably faired better than being a daily driver in the UK.. lol.

Haha!!! Plastic pig, that's hilarious. Never heard that before. I don't know a lot about them, but they are just so damn ridiculous compared to anything here that I like them. I lean towards odd ball vehicles when I can. That why I have an Edsel as well.

I just wanted to throw another drawing out their. Not a ford, but a Jag..
Jaguar promises an all electric future, which means it needs to fix its biggest problem, electrical reliability.. … anyway.. enjoy the sketch..

I wish they had a flat gray that was an actual gray, I have seen some Honda's like that and they look very stylish.
