FORD needs to stand up on their promotion/media announcement of hybrid. Seems that Ecoboost is getting more focus than hybrid. Show me the production schedule for retail hybrids before any dealer allocations. And show us the window sticker for hybrid???

It was the hybrid that got me interested and motivated me to order. I guess I fell for for hype and thought Ford was on to something. Now I find the whole process confusing. Why market a product that you can not produce or supply. Oh I know because people will put down lots of money for something they have not seen and just rely on what Ford was advertising. I fell for it and very disappointed. I was not expecting a build date over night but now really not sure if I will ever get the truck at all. All ready looking at the new 2022 Nissan Frontier. I thought that if you ordered a vehicle it would be built in the order received. that’s what a good business does. Why would Ford TAKE an order for something they know they could never deliver? I did not know it was going to be a contest. It is strange to me that I am in a contest for them to sell something to me and made to feel grateful when I finally win a build date. How about just delivering on your promise FORD.

I agree 100%. I had NO intentions of buying a second vehicle. By them making this a Hybrid, that was the ONLY thing that motivated me to order. I don't care when it delivers or builds, just give me a damn date. Last time I checked I was a big boy. I can handle the truth. This week to week crap is ridiculous. If I don't like the build date I can make a decision to cancel and move on. If you've found out you can't make the damn hybrid, tell us, we can decide. Again, I don't care what the date is, just be HONEST and tell us a date we will get our orders scheduled. Time to move on I'm beginning to believe.

NOBODY is putting down "LOTS OF MONEY" for a Maverick.. If you put money down, that went to the dealer for now, not FORD. Ford is not requiring you to put a dime down to place an order. I understand many of you may be frustrated, but you haven't purchased anything yet and you are more than welcome to purchase anything else or nothing at all right now.

Here's what Ford shared with dealers on July 31st, looks like they're still making good on their word if you ask me:

Found the exact bulletin that FORD issued to DEALERS back on July 31st:

  • The Hybrid engine is limited to 35% of August/September/October production for the Maverick
    • The long-term production of 2022 model year will be a 40% mix of Hybrid
    • Currently 100% of hybrid engines will go to fulfill customer orders.

I wonder if the hybrid was always intended to primarily be a fleet vehicle and they expected everyone else to bump it up to the 2.0L since it was only a grand more. But then the Hybrid blew up way beyond their capacity to actually build the drivetrain.

Or it could just be that its still in the early production stage and for some reason its easier to boot 2.0Ls out the door than hybrids, so thats what they're doing.

They've only confirmed scheduling thru OCT 18.. They aren't looking any further than the week of OCT 25 right now.. sure, maybe yours gets built NOV or DEC, but they aren't that far in the scheduling to give you a date. You're basically demanding FORD schedule every single order right this second.. that ain't gonna happen. Be real here.

^^That was Ford paying no mind to your complaints, btw.

Just relax, it's so damn early in scheduling and building. Hell, it's not even FALL yet. You're just riling up all of the other impatient souls.

I think what the real issue is, is that people are upset that we made an active decision to place an order for this vehicle, and, Instead of rewarding those who placed orders early, people who ordered after them are getting build dates simply because of who they ordered from.

The order process itself rewards dealers instead of the customer.

I have been eye-balling the Bronco Sport.....but then I figured out they haven't hit the lots either at least not locally...or they're sold out and waiting for more... I keep thinking can I put a 4x8 plywood in it..or on top? would I look like a hillbilly :) Does these pants make me look fat?

Also, you are disappointed but you are not even expecting to have build date.. What are you possibly disappointed in that actually deems true disappointment? Ford has only scheduled out until week of OCT 18. Plenty of time to get your hybrid scheduled even before the end of this year.
The dealers represent Ford and places orders based on what Ford is marketing and advertising. And that’s the point we can purchase anything else right now and make decisions based on what is advertised and promised. The hybrid was the big sell but now seems to be low on the production time line. How is that not disappointing? It is disappointing that more hybrids are not being scheduled. It would be nice to get a solid update from Ford on hybrid production. It’s seems to me that you work for Ford so maybe you can pass that idea along. Just an update that’s all.

No one is getting rewarded because of who they ordered from.

EcoBoost folks are getting rewarded an early production date because FORD has all of the parts to build it. Ford clearly doesn't have all of the parts to build hybrids at full capacity, at least not through week of OCT 18.. that's as far as we've seen scheduled. Ford can't announce what may or may not be holding up builds.. You folks are crazy thinking Ford's going to give you a reply to your unnecessary concerns. Now if there haven't been a substantial amount of hybrids scheduled by the end of the year, yeah, might be time for Ford to throw us a bone and tell us what's going on.

Yeah I certainly don't work for Ford.. I live in Southern, MO, (BFE). Closest to Ford I can get is pestering my dealer or reading on these forums. What exactly did Ford promise YOU, that you feel you need an honest answer to?

The Maverick scheduling has only been completed through week of OCT 18.

Ford said FALL delivery.. it's not even Fall.

We can sit here and speculate what is going on all we want, we can even blast online forums demanding Ford tell us. None of which will do a lick of good. Might make you feel better, when you've released your angst via a keyboard, but we don't know what's going on. We don't know when all of the pieces will come together for Ford to schedule to build the hybrids, but we do know there's a lot of time left to still schedule 10-11 full weeks of production for just this year.

Then show us retail hybrid orders scheduled NOT Ecoboost!!! I don't think FORD can delivery any hybrids until Winter NOT Fall, then prove me wrong!!!! Probably Spring 2022!!! I hope someone from FORD is listening to their consumers!!!!
