Switching To Long McArthur.... Which Salesman Should I Request?

You must be confused. Tim had under 100 that didn't make production. If you had ordered from LM in August of 21, you'd have your truck. I ordered a Maverick from Long McArthur on 12/26/2021 and received it on 4/20/2022 to my house - it was at the dealership a week before that.

100! That is way more LM orders than I thought that were never built. You sound like you work there, I would never think 100 people still waiting is acceptable. They should be upset they were not warned LM did not have enough allocations to fulfill their orders.

It makes no sense to order from a dealer 1500 miles away when Don can get one at msrp 20 miles away. And no I do not work at Robins Ford.

He should do whatever is right for him. It is Ford's fault for mishandling this and having so many people waiting, not really any particular dealer.

I read you original reply where you said you commute daily to Salina KS. So you do work at LM. Just make sure you do not take more orders than allocations this time around. That is not right.

That was sarcasm that I decided against using. I do not work for any car dealership or any part of the industry at all.

But in all seriousness, this year's allocations are based on sales last year so LM should be in better shape. That said, even Tim advocates for using your local dealer as long as you can trust them.

Confirmed on phone today, with Ford, that my 10/31/21 XL Hybrid order from Villa Ford Orange, CA is NOT going to be processed/built....

Since I am being pushed to MY23 ....I am switching to Long McArthur.

ZERO communication from Villa Ford throughout the process......and they have a $20,000 markup on every Maverick that they touch.

In my opinion....that is just too tempting to trust them to sell to me at MSRP..... too much incentive for them to NOT sell my order to me upon arrival.

Combined with the fact that they didn't have the allocation on a simple build with no constraints (LOTS of more constrained builds ordered AFTER me getting scheduled and delivered to other dealerships)......all of that has pushed me into jumping ship.

Confirmed that the $2750 credit is transferable to different dealership through "SMART VINCENT".

just came back from placing order at Theodore Robins Ford in Costa Mesa! No pushing no Markups, See Eddie! we placed order in and frankly I came with fighting gear ready and was extremely pleasantly surprised. A+.
