Yes, considering them strongly but don't expect my Maverick Hybrid until July/August at the earliest...
You get your Mavrick yet??? The tires are holding up nice and actually makes the ride smoother since they are chunkier tires. Theyre meeting my needs solidly.

Thanks for the update! No Maverick yet...I suspect my order will probably convert to a 2023, still "unscheduled clean" as of yesterday...What mileage are you seeing with the 245 tires? I saw a set of them on a Tahoe and they looked great. Still interested, just no truck to install them on...maybe before the end of the year?

Can't help you on mpg.....I just assume the additional savings over non hybrid is a net positive vs. any loss due to bigger heavier tire. I do recall I did a two hour road trip an remember being impressed by my mileage.... 😂

Another Tire Question: I have a hybrid "in-production" since 7/6/22 so hopefully I will get it in the next 2-6 months (my estimate .. the way things have been going for the hybrids).
You used the OEM wheels to install these tires (Dextero AT 245/65/17)?
Any rubbing or anything?
How is the road ride?
I want to change the tires as soon as I am able to, is there anyplace which will take off new OEM tires and give you a good deal on the more aggressive tires?

- Yes, these are the Factory XLT wheels I put the tires on.
-The road ride is actually smoother because it's a chunkier tire. The road noise is slightly more, but nothing annoying or an issue.
-No rubbing at all.
- you might try your local tire shop and inquire if theyll give you any credit.
- FYI, these tires are available ONLY thru Walmart, and they won't install them because of a sizing policy that doesn't permit them to install tires that are two sizes larger than Factory, so I took them to Discount Tire and had them installed.

I recently visited Colorado but left the Mav at home. Rented a Jeep through Turo and drove Saint John's pass from Keystone to Breckenridge. Well worth the $120 rental fee. I don't regret saving the Mav for more tame adventures.

Colorado is a thing of beauty especially when you get back in the mountains. That's an incredible picture!

Even try your dealership, most of them give better deals on tires too.

But the Dextero AT 245/65/17 tires gave me the extra bit of comfort level to do it.
Hey! Looking for a long term review on the Dexteros in that size on the hybrid.

Any issue with the hybrid moving the extra rotating weight in town or mountain passes at highway speeds? Average MPG?

Also, how’s clearance? I’ve yet to see a closeup of the wheel well clearance with the tire with wheels turned.

@StrangeScience I bought them in March of this year and had them put on a few days after by my local Discount Tire (as I might have mentioned, Walmart will not install a tire two sized + over factory sizes).

I've put roughly about 3K miles on them. This consists of moderate city use, with then some mild off-road use, as seen by my pics, primarily various graded county roads in CO, as well as some roads that are graded maybe once a year after winter that lead into the mountains, and have a share of ruts and some mild rocky sections at time.

If you are tuned into your vehicles, you will be able to notice a difference from the OE tires to these Dexteros. They include:
- More weight, and you can feel this difference between the smaller, narrower OE tires vs. these Dexteros. It was something I expected, but not unreasonable, and it is NOT killing my MPG.
- Road Noise on the road is lightly more than OE tires, but again you really only notice it if you are in tune with your vehicle. It has never been an issue when driving street or highway for that matter, and I simply didnt register with me after a while.
- Comfort - They actually ride really nice because of the extra rubber, so it's quite comfortable, I'd say it absorbs small imperfections noticeably more than the OE tires for the Hybrid.
- Traction, while I never really tried the OE tires on the off-roads I have done with the Dexteros, I did notice an improvement in traction after a snow vs. the OE tires. I mean the bigger tread blocks and deeper grooves work better, this was expected, but still glad it was confirmed in my actual experience. Just by design, these certainly would be a better choice than OE in an off-road scenario.
- Appearance, night and day and it gives the truck just a more formidable look, as would any off road tire. It just simply looks more aggressive and capable for getting off the pavement.
- PRICE, I challenge you to find any other comparably priced tire in this size, against the Dexteros. The fact that is made by a very reputable tire company just happens to make these exclusively for Walmart but leveraging all the expertise from their "name brand" off-road tires was the final convincing I needed to go for it.

RE: Any issue with the hybrid moving the extra rotating weight in town or mountain passes at highway speeds? Average MPG? No issues whatsoever.....I have used it around town a lot as well as now twice in mountain passes here in Colorado. Average MPG would be impacted simply due to the extra weight and drag of more rubber on the road, but if you are looking at putting an All-Terrain tire on your hybrid, you're not a Hyper Miler person, and the benefits gained from the All-Terrain for me are worth any loss.

RE: Also, how’s clearance? I’ve yet to see a closeup of the wheel well clearance with the tire with wheels turned. Even at full lock to lock, I've never heard a rubbing sound, even when off-road and suspension moving a lot.

For what it's worth, on my current full tank of gas, the image attached show I have gone 353.4 miles thus far and estimated to have another 147 miles left in it. I just did a road trip camping which is where I took the most recent pics (including the 3 wheel action). I don't hyper mile, I just drive it regular but try not to be lead footed all the time, but I get on it here and there just for giggles.

In all, I don't think you can go wrong with these. Hope this may help! Cheers!
