“In My Life”—The Beatles

I've been reading the Song Game posts from the beginning. As I read, I'm thinking to myself, "Yep, done them" As a stagehand for over 30 years I've worked concerts by a lot of the posted song artists.
A few of my backstage passes.

. . .
SWEET!! Just being present to hear all those performers would make life wonderfully memorable. Getting to lend a hand as well makes it stellar. You just might want to write a book...!

Some. Sometimes cool job, sometimes "push box, get check." I got to have a one on one conversation with Grace Slick for about 20 minutes, Had supper at a table for 8 with Stephen Stills and David Crosby. James Taylor is great, hangs out backstage during the day chatting with crew. I did a week with Green Day putting together a new tour. Worked with Mel Torme and Leslie Uggums for a show. He was fantastic! Was bear-hugged daily by Harvey Fierstein while trying to put a microphone on him. Last band I worked, about a month ago was Rick James Band, I interact with them while helping set up, and then standby until its over to help break down instruments. So I get to meet some artists, I remember them, but they wouldn't remember me.

That's really cool that you had the opportunity to meet some of the musicians and chat with them. Plus seeing them in action from a very different point of view that many of us never see!
