Just picked up my new Maverick yesterday but was unable to get Ford pass activated. It said I didn't have access. I called customer support and they had to escalate it to a tech team to figure it out. Has anyone else had problems getting their Ford pass activated??

Just picked up my new Maverick yesterday but was unable to get Ford pass activated. It said I didn't have access. I called customer support and they had to escalate it to a tech team to figure it out. Has anyone else had problems getting their Ford pass activated??

Ford dealers got a message last week stating that there were issues activating Ford Pass....

I just searched and can't find the message now, but I think your best bet is to give it a few days and try again.

I just searched and can't find the message now, but I think your best bet is to give it a few days and try again.
Thanks for that, my salesperson sat in the truck with me for about 30 minutes trying to activate. If only they read their messages.

Yeah, there are lots of messages somedays...and this message may have been directed to service dept, and salesman may have been unlikely to see it.

There are certainly days where there is an issue with the app and it won't activate. I know we've had times where we have tried for an hour and it just won't activate. Frustrating for everybody.

You may have to remove the vehicle from the app and start over by adding it again. There also should be a FordPass reset option in the Maverick.
But before messing with all that, just try activating again next week. Most likely you won't need to go through extra steps.... if the activation doesn't work sometime next week, you can try stopping back at the dealership and see if they can help you reset.
Or let me know here and I'll try to give some advice from afar!

I never really tried on my explorer but I felt like I had to hit refresh to make the location update because they're trying to use as little data as possible since it's free

Would be nice to monitor it in real time, but you can't have everything, just glad I have a Maverick to track!
